I do not own anything to do with Harry Potter.
He'd been out of Azkaban for nearly a year now. He thought he had felt all the grief he could in his short 35 years, but he was wrong.
"Hi My names is Sirius. What's yours?"
"It's Y/N. Y/F/N Y/L/N."
He stood staring at the headstone, remembering the only thing that kept him sane in those twelve years of hell. Your eyes, your hair, your perfume, everything.
"Sirius Black! Where have you been? We almost had to start it without you!"
"Oh please Y/N! Like you four could even get into their common room without me. I'm the only one who knows the password."
"Oh shut it Black."
"You know you love me Y/N."
"Course I love you ya git. You're my boyfriend."
He had been asking about you ever since he and Remus had left the Hogwarts grounds. Remus would never give him a straight answer, saying that you couldn't be reached or he wouldn't be able to see you. For month on end he pestered until Remus finally broke and told him where he could find you.
"Do you, Sirius Orion Black, take Y/F/N Y/M/N Y/L/N for as long as you both shall live?"
"I do." he grinned at you, making you blush a light pink.
"And do you, Y/F/N Y/M/N Y/L/N, take Sirius Orion Black for as long as you both shall live?"
"I do."
"I now pronounce you Mr. and Mr(s). Sirius Orion Black. You may now kiss the bride."
You had only been married a short two years before it happened. You were at home, making dinner for you and Sirius when someone knocked on the door. You opened it to reveal your friend, Hagrid. Smiling, you invited him inside.
"Hagrid! How are you?" You looked up at him, seeing tears making their way down his face.
"Hagrid?" you asked, getting worried. "What happened."
"I'm sorry Y/N. It's about Lily and James. He found them. You Know Who found them." As Hagrid told you, you stumbled back, gripping the counter. You were silent for a moment before it hit you. Two of your best friends had just been killed. You screamed, letting out giant, earth shattering sobs. Sirius heard you from upstairs and rushed down as fast as he could. He saw you on the floor crying with Hagrid standing in the doorway with silent tears streaking down his face.
"Y/n, love, what's going on?" You were crying so badly that Sirius could barely understand a word you were saying.
"Sirius... James and ... Lily... dead... You Know Who... Peter!" Grasping onto you tightly, Sirius looked up at Hagrid for conformation. He only nodded to let Sirius know that his wife was telling the truth.
"Sirius look! Our invitation for Lily and James' wedding is here! Has he asked you yet?"
"Asked me what?"
"Dammit Y/N you weren't supposed to say anything yet," James said as he walked through the front door.
"Sorry James! Just ask him now! Lily already asked me so hurry up!" you yelled from the next room.
"What Y/N was saying was that I was going to ask if you would be my best man."
"Oh! Of course mate! I would be honored."
"Good! Because Lily has been getting on my arse about it for months now. She already asked Y/N to be her Maid of Honor. Although I guess it would be matron now since you guys are already married."
"Oi! James Potter, watch what you're saying! I still haven't told your mother about what you did to me a few months ago! I can still tell her!"
"Blimey Padfoot! Your wife is bloody scary."
"I know."
Now as he stood in front of you, he began to cry.
"Oh Y/N, I'm so sorry I left you that night love. I am so sorry. If I hadn't left then maybe you would still be here." He fell to his knees, crying in plain sight.
Remus had told him what had happened to you, how a few of Voldemort's followers were still terrorizing people after Voldemort had disappeared. Remus told him of how you had been out on a mission for the Order, something that was just supposed to be simple border patrol near Hogsmeade. What they hadn't counted on was for Bellatrix Lestrange to be there with a few other Death Eaters. It was an unfair fight, two order members against five Death Eaters. But Y/N had always been an excellent dueler so soon it was just Bellatrix against Y/N, the other Order member a few feet away unconscious. The two of you were evenly matched and Y/N had won, contacting the ministry that she had Bellatrix Lestrange in captivity. Moments later the two of you were surrounded by members of the ministry. They assured you that they had her under control and so you turned around to Apparate back home. What you didn't count on was Bellatrix escaping from her bonds and firing the Killing Curse at you right before you apparated.
The spell had apparated with you, hitting you right as you landed with Remus a few feet away in the kitchen. There was no chance of you living. A week later you were buried next to Lily and James in the graveyard in Godric's Hollow.
Sirius was sobbing now as he stared at his best friends' and his wife's graves side by side. He read their headstones for possibly the hundredth time that night.

Using the wand he had taken off of Pettigrew, Sirius made a wreath of flowers for each grave- lilies and roses for James and Lily, and y/f/f for Y/N. Slowly, he stood up, walking towards Remus who was waiting for him at the entrance. He paused before turning back to the graves.
"I love you Y/N. Until we meet again," he murmured. A warm breeze brushed against his face, pushing back his hair and caressing his face. HE smiled softly, closing his eyes before beginning to walk again towards Remus. When he reached him, he grasped his shoulder and looked him in the eye.
"Thank you, old friend."
"What for?" Remus asked, confused.
"For being there for her when I couldn't be. And for everything you have ever done for the both of us."
Remus simply smiled, watching Sirius turn into his animagus and walking down the street, disappearing into the shadows. Remus turned to face the resting places of his oldest friends, seeing three vague human forms next to the graves. He nodded to them, sparing a small smile, before apparating home where Tonks was waiting for him.
The three figures stayed there for a little while longer, gazing at the first flowers to be placed there by Sirius. The two on the left were the first to disappear, leaving Y/N alone in the graveyard to stare after her husband. Soon she too disappeared, allowing her form to be swept towards Sirius and as she passed him, she whispered in his ear.
"I love you too."
