It was late, that much he knew. So late, in fact, that it could even be considered early. But for reasons unknown to him, Harry Potter had woken up in the dead of night. And right as he was about to go to bed, he heard what had woken him up.

Thump thump thump

Someone was knocking at the door. But why? Groaning, Harry looked over at the clock that read 3:47 am, and rolled out of bed, grabbing his wand and robe without disturbing Ginny. Shuffling to the door, he looked through the peephole, not expecting to see his cousin Dudley standing at his doorstep.

Unlocking the door, he had barely opened it before Dudley barged in, pacing in front of his couch and started talking.

"I'm so sorry for coming here so early but I didn't know who else to go to and she hasn't got much time left and you're the only one that I know that knows where they're buried and-"

Harry cut off his frantic cousin and sat him in the couch.

"Whoa whoa Dudley slow down. Start over and explain to me what is going on."

Nodding, Dudley took a deep breath and began again.

"Harry, I am so sorry for barging in on you like this, but it's about Mum. She's not doing well anymore and she asked me of something but I don't know what to tell her."

"What does she want Dudley."

Now looking at his fingers, Dudley stuttered out, "S-she um she wants to uh s-see yo-you're parents. At Godric's Hollow. A-and she um want y-you to take her."

Nervously, Dudley looked up at his cousin, scared for his reaction. But he was shocked to see Harry with only a slightly confused face.

"Why now? And why me?" was all he said.

"She said that the two biggest regrets that she has in life was the way that she treated her sister and the way that she treated you," Dudley whispered.

"Dudley... why couldn't you have told me this in the morning?" Harry asked, grasping the bridge of his nose.

"That's the thing Harry. She doesn't have until morning." Dudley stared at his cousin, nervous that he would say no. He knew that it would be well-founded. The Dursleys had treated Harry horribly, especially Dudley, but he couldn't help but hope that his cousin would accept.

Finally, Harry sighed and stood up, waving Dudley off when he began to stand as well.

"Just sit there for a bit. I'm still in my pajamas and I need to change if I'm gonna take her aren't I?" Dudley let out a sigh of relief as Harry left the room, holding his head in his hands and he relaxed slightly.

A/N

So sorry for this SUPER late update. I kinda forgot that this story even existed. I got super busy with college and work and life and I just stopped writing for a while. Also I wrote this super early and in one go so I will probably go back and change it at some point but I got the idea for this like twenty minutes ago and wanted it up before I completely forgot about it. Anyways, I might post a second part to this, I might not. Honestly I might even delete this bit if I reread it and absolutely hate it. We'll see how it goes. :)
