As I walked down the stairs I heard Selena crying. I kneeled down in front of her trying to get her to tell me what was wrong. I saw she was holding onto a letter. Is that what had got her worked up?

"Baby? What's wrong?"

Selena wiped her eyes as she handed me the note. I grabbed the note reading it. My heart broke piece by piece with every word I read.

I folded the paper put it aside and sighed.

"I can't believe that he did this," she said her voice sounding hoarse.

I looked at her agreeing.

"I guess the guilt was just too much for him," I said.

She looked down at her palms not showing any form of reaction.

I got up from the floor sitting next to her pulling her close to me. I ran my fingers through her hair trying to calm her and relax her.

"I just wish I could have spoken to him, I know I could never forgive him for what he did but he was my first love. He was like a friend to me. But I didn't do anything, Justin," She said getting up from my arms.

"To be honest Sel, No one knew, " I said.

"But I wish he would have come visited me at the hospital, and tell me what he was going through. Even though he killed my baby, I just can't handle another loss, Justin." She said.

I grabbed her waist pulling her down to the couch. I grabbed her cheeks kissing her. She melted under the kiss, kissing back. She let go looking into my eyes.

"I love you a lot, Justin."

"That's impossible, I love you way too much. That's why I've been here for you. Through your ups and downs, and I can't believe you're even here after all the shit that happened." I said.

"But I'm glad I stayed," she said smiling.

I smiled looking down at my palms. Then looking up at her again.

"I couldn't ask for anyone else, you're my one and only," I said giving Her a hug.

"You're my true love." She said. (That sounds kind of cringey - is it just me?)
