Chapter 38: Prom
Kimora's POV
*A few weeks later*
"Krystal for the last time you look fine!"
"But-"
"Krystal!"
I sit on her bed with my head in my palm and watch as Cheyenne rolls her eyes in exasperation.
"How you managed to lose all that baby fat in a few weeks is beyond me," I said.
"She hired a personal trainer," Rosie explains.
"Oh."
It's prom night and we're all gathered in Krystal room getting ready.
After waking up I was kept under careful watch for a while and underwent two surgeries, including the one for my liver transplant. The doctors had explained everything that happened.
My parents and I had a long talk and reconciled. They weren't shipping me off anymore. Cheyenne and I made up too. It was a very tearful event.
It took some time for me to get used to things again. Sometimes I just felt these extreme cases of sadness for no reason. The doctors said I may have a mild case of depression and it was normal after facing a near death experience.
I wasn't the same girl I had been. I wasn't innocent. I had done some pretty fucked up shit.
But I was becoming better.
I dyed my hair back to it's natural color and it had even grown a few inches. I stopped drinking, partying, and doing drugs. I worked hard to make up all my schoolwork. I was lucky I had passed this year with a 2.8 gpa.
"Girls the limo will be here soon and I want pictures!" Krystal's mom yelled from downstairs.
"Coming!"
We all tottered downstairs in our heels. Sebastian, Reese, and Charles were waiting in suits and corsets to match our dresses. Well everyone else's dress since I was going stag.
Thug life.
Reese whistled as Krystal approached him. "Damn baby mama."
"Reese!" His mom yelled horrified. Krystal giggled.
Sebastian slipped on Cheyenne's corsage.
"You look amazing."
"Thanks," she blushed and then they smiled and stared at each other. Ugh why can't they just stop this friendship crap and just get back together? It's obvious they're still in love.
Sebastian's sister Haley snapped a picture of them.
"Ok everyone picture time!" Cheyenne's mom exclaimed. "Everyone line up!"
I kid you not we took millions of photos. Some of all the girls together, some of all the guys together, some with our dates, some by ourselves, some just me and Cheyenne and others just Rosie and Krystal. Every combo you can think of.
"Wait Reese and Krystal you need to take some photos with Valentine!" Her mom exclaimed.
"But he's not even going to prom!" Krystal said.
