I think the name of the sign is answer enough, right?
Simply put, a question mark is a mark or sign used to signify a question, used to tell that a particular sentence is actually a question.
Personally I think it's an easy sign. Watch this.
- What is your name. How are you. Are you a boy. Where do you leave he asked. -

What's the use?
- A question mark separates a normal sentence from a questioning sentence.
- It let's the reader know that a question is in place or a sentence is being asked.- "How are you? How have you been?" He asked.-
