Sakura, Konoha's Strongest Ninja

Chapter 8

"So what exactly happened?" I asked my former classmates. They were supposed to retrieve a scroll from the Hidden cloud, containing a message from the Raikage and secret information on the Akatsuki. "Um....well Sakura-chan. You see...." Naruto said trying to think of something to say. "We were ambushed by two Akatsuki members. One was Sasori of the red sand, and the other was Deidara. Sasuke fought Deidara while we fought Sasori. Sasuke was badly injured so we retreated." Neji explained. 'Isn't Sasori supposed to be dead?' I questioned myself.

"You think? We killed him ourselves."

'I know. But they fought with him, Inner, if we killed him, then how could they fight with him?'

"Maybe it's a transformation jutsu?"

'Lets hope so.'

I nodded and said "Dismissed. But be on alert, you'll never know when you'll be needed." They walked out of the hospital while talking about something. Then a hawk flew threw the door and landed on my shoulder. I took the message from his back and opened it. It read:

'Sixth Hokage,

Itachi Uchiha requests that Shisui Uchiha be made an ANBU member. He is being tested in a couple of hours.

From your trusted clone.

P.S.- The advisors say hi.'

'Shisui, hm. He will make a great ANBU member. Lets see if he passes.'

I sent a reply saying to keep me posted on things happening in the village and that I say hi back to the advisors. I sent the scroll with the hawk and went back to work, checking up on Sasuke every now and then.

TIME SKIP (A MONTH)

I have just checked Sasuke out of Suna's hospital and was on my way to the Kazekage's office. It was almost time for us, Konaha ninjas, to head back to our own village. The hospital had found a new head to take over, so I wasn't needed. I knocked on the door and walked in saying "Kazekage-sama, it is about time for us to head back to our own village." He nodded and said "I thank you for your help. If there is anything you need, don't hesitate to ask. I wish you a safe journey back to your village, Hokage-sama." "Thank you, Garaa." I said as I turned and closed the door behind me.

I headed to the Inn I was staying at and started to pack my things. I also sent clones to notify Konoha 11. After I was done, I waited at the front gates for the rest of the leaf ninjas. In the distance I saw Temari and Kankuro walking towards the gates from the Kazekage's office building. Once they reached me, I embraced them both in a hug. When I let go, I saw Konoha 11 walking towards the gates. After all the hugs were distributed, I called out "Lets go!" and started running. After a few hours, I stopped and said "We'll take a break here. Next time we stop we will set up camp." I set my things down and sat down beside them. I took out my water and drank from it, watching my friends. After taking a short break, I stood up and scanned the surrounding area for any signs of rogue ninja. I let my friends rest for a few more minutes, before saying "Alright! Pack your things! Lets try to get in a few kilometers before setting camp!" I got my thing and waited for them on a tree branch. Once everyone was ready, I set off trying not to go ahead. Then Inner struck a conversation with me.

"Oi, outer. You think Shisui passed the test?"

'I hope so. He would make a great addition to the ANBU.'

"I agree..... You think the village is safe?"

'Of course it is. I trust Minato, Kushina, Fugaku, and Mikoto with my life.'

"You and me both."

'I have to go, Naruto needs a restroom break.'

"Alright, bye."

I stopped and said "Naruto, I know you need to go. Go." He nodded quickly and headed a bit into the forest. I turned to the rest and asked "Does anybody else need to go?" They shook their heads and then took out things to do, like sharpening kunais or reading scrolls. After Naruto returned, we set off again. Then I started talking with Inner again.

'Inner? Do you think I'll need to use Akemi?'

(A/N: Akemi is the name of the 11 tails sealed inside of Sakura)

"Well it depends on the situation we are in."

'Yeah, your right.'

"Aren't I always?"

'Nope.'

"Your so mean!"

'Why thank you! That means so much to me!'

"You need to learn sarcasm."

'*giggling*'

That conversation took a couple of hours and the sun was already setting. "Lets stop here and set up camp. Boys with boys. Girls with girls. There is a waterfall nearby so go and clean up. We will leave in the morning." I said as I picked a spot and started to set up my tent. I got my toiletries and held them in my hands before saying "Girls, once your done setting up go to the waterfall. The boys will go after us." Then I went to the waterfall.
