{Hey everyone! If you've been reading this book since it came out you're probably wondering where the previous chapters are! I've decided to scrap them and start fresh because I wasn't getting all too inspired so here we go! Please enjoy and be sure to leave a vote and a comment if you did! Bien Joué! - Sarah}

Marinette took a seat on the park bench, her breathing was staggered and she tried to control it. She couldn't cry, not here. She unwrapped the set of cookies her papà had given her on her way out. She thought eating something would make her feel better but she just felt sick at the thought of eating. Her chest heaved, her eyes began to water and she gripped the underside of the bench to try and control her emotions but, to no prevail. The tears spilt over her cheeks hot and fast, she couldn't control herself any longer.

Tikki said nothing, she just watched the girl fall into an emotional pool. Tikki had tried to help, she had tried everything to cheer Marinette up but nothing worked. Marinette told her to 'just leave it' and that there 'was nothing she could do.' Tikki didn't want to make Marinette even more forlorn so she followed her instructions. Marinette refused to tell Tikki why she was so sorrowful but watching her best friend heave and cry made Tikki begin to cry silently herself. She hated seeing someone she cared so dearly about break down like this and know that there was nothing she would do to help her.

All this sadness was about Chloé. Marinette's sadness and frustration was usually fired up by Chloé, and this time, Chloé had outdone herself. With her wicked powers, she had made Marinette trip in front of the entire class just as they were leaving school for the day, but not only that. Of course, it wasn't just that. Marinette fell on top of Nathaniel in the process and ended up kissing him in front of everyone, including Adrien. Then Chloé had the brilliant idea to scream out "now Marinette will never have a chance with Ad-", she was thankfully cut off by Alya asking Chloé what was wrong with her hair. Which then caused Chloé to have one of her famous overdramatic freak outs and sprint out of the classroom to the girls' bathroom. After all of that unfolded, Adrien made his way over to Marinette to help her up off the floor as she was still sitting there in shock. Nathaniel had already made his escape, embarrassed that he had kissed his crush by accident. That wasn't how he wanted his first kiss with Marinette to go. Marinette snapped out of her blank out as Adrien offered his hand to her with a smile. Marinette couldn't speak, couldn't think, at that time. She then stood up herself angrily, shrugging off Adrien's help. She gathered her things and ignored all her friends as she irately made her way home. She felt bad for shrugging off everyone's help but she was so unbearably angry at herself. She was especially exasperated at the fact that it had to be Adrien. Adrien just had to be the boy she had a crush on and of course, he was the boy that was going to help her up after her crush on him was almost revealed. She felt so stupid. Why did she have to have a crush on him? She knew she'd never get a chance with him. And that's why she was on a park bench and bawling her eyes out.

She couldn't stay at her house, her parents were far too nosey to let her cry in her room alone. Alone. She just wanted to be alone. She reached up to her ears, touching her earrings slightly and considering ripping them out to be alone. Tikki gasped slightly, more tears falling from her eyes as she watched Marinette. Marinette dropped her hands and began crying even harder. She was so stupid, why did her friends even care about her? She was so angry at herself, not only had she hurt all of her friends she had messed up any chance she had with Adrien.

Adrien, on the other hand, was leaping across rooftops as Chat Noir trying to get away from his thoughts and also to find Ladybug. All he could think about was Marinette. He couldn't escape his thoughts about her, he wanted, no, needed to know she was alright. Chloé had obviously struck a nerve with her, a trait Adrien knew Chloé was superb at. He was trying to get away from all his thoughts, especially ones about how angry Marinette was. He could feel her slipping away from him, she was so cool towards him when he tried to help. He knew it was because of Chloé but it really struck a nerve with him. He stopped jumping around to try and control himself, he bent over and was breathing heavily. He shut his eyes tight, he was not going to cry over this. He scrunched up his face and tried to control his emotions that threatened to spill over. He was sure there was a rational explanation behind it. And there was, right in front of him. His ears shot towards the sound of someone crying in the park, he quickly opened his eyes to see Marinette openly sobbing on a park bench. Chat Noir leapt into action, extending his pole and making his way over to the downcast girl. He didn't want to scare her so he landed behind her and lightly touched her shoulder. She turned around and faced him with her big, watery eyes.
