{Hey everyone! Time for a long chapter full of some gOOD STUFF! ;) Have fun reading! (I know you will!) Bien Joué! - Sarah}

Darkness dominated the city of love, wind bustled quietly through the streets and the lights told a story through the puddles in the cobblesone cracks. This is what Marinette woke up to; the night. She smiled before her worry for Chat Noir consumed her again. She turned to Tikki with a wobbly smile on her face.

"Ready?" She asked her kwami who seemed to be acting slightly different, Marinette decided not to pursue these thoughts as Tikki was probably just missing Plagg.

Tikki nodded and Marinette quickly transformed into her alter-ego, Ladybug. She swiftly hopped out of her room and made her way to the Pont des Arts Bridge where Chat Noir and herself usually agreed to meet if they were on patrol together. Chat Noir had been waiting for Ladybug for a few minutes so he had extra time to compose himself before he saw her. He couldn't seem to wipe the smile off his face. It all seemed so obvious to him now. His ears perked up at the sound of his Ladybug making her way over to him, he stood up slowly and used the railing for support. He winced slightly as he rose to face her and she quickly raced over to him to provide him with extra support.

"You shouldn't be on patrol tonight," she mumbled as she flung her arm around his waist for support.

"I know," he mumbled back, "but I can't miss an opportunity to see you," he looked into her eyes and she rolled hers.

"How's the shoulder?" She quickly switched the conversation as they made their way together down the street.

"As good as it can be," he shrugged, "hopefully it heals quickly."

She nodded, looking up at him with sorrow in her eyes. He turned his head and connected his eyes with hers.

"What's up?" He asked, noting the pain in her eyes as they stopped suddenly.

"Why did you have to go and do that Chat?" She groaned, resting her head on his chest as they began walking again.

"Do what? Take a bullet for you?"

"Yes! I mean, of course, I'm thankful but you got hurt in the process!"

"I know, it's almost like I have a bullet-shaped wound on my shoulder!" He chuckled and she glared up at him.

"This is serious, Chat!"

"I'm fine, LB. I always am, especially when I'm around you," he smirked and she glared at him again.

"You're not, though! You can joke around and make puns but you're not. You got shot, Chat!"

He stiffened slightly, "yes, I did, but it was for a good cause. I can't have you getting hurt," he wrapped his uninjured arm around her waist as she had done to him.

"But-" she went to argue again but Chat Noir promptly cut her off.

"No but's, My Lady. It was my risk to take and I took it, I don't regret it one bit. You're safe and I'm fine. So, can we get to patrolling now?"

Ladybug nodded her head slowly and yo-yoed them onto a roof. It was just them and the stars.

Marinette woke up late the next morning, but that was unsurprising as she had spent a good majority of the night with Chat Noir, she refused to admit it to herself but it truly was magical. Smiling to herself, she quickly got ready and sped her way to school with thoughts of Chat Noir swirling around her head. Last night, just the two of them under the stars, it was something unforgettable and it made her feel something she hadn't felt since she first saw Adrien. He treated her like he never had before; it was an entirely new experience. Marinette, along with Tikki, headed into her school. Luckily, she wasn't too late, which was a first, and she made her way over to Alya while yawning.
