Adrien walked with a perk in his step and a heart full of love as he made his way to school the next day. Ladybug, well, Marinette liked him. She actually did, everything was working out perfectly. Now all he had to do was reveal himself, tell her that he knew who she was and they would live happily ever after.

"ADRIKINS!"

Adrien stopped short but before he could groan he was attacked with tight hugs from Chloé, his classmate.

"Hey, Clo," he offered her a weak smile as he hastily released himself from her grasp before anyone got the wrong idea.

"Adrikins! You've been so distant lately!" Chloé continued, straightening up his collar for him, "what's going on? Wanna talk to little ol' me about it?"

Adrien zoned out as Chloé carried on rambling. His eyes drifted away from Chloé as he became bored of the conversation and his mind wandered. Then he noticed Marinette arrive, the girl who had ruled his thoughts and dreams for longer than he first realised.

"Marinette," he whispered.

"Excuse me?" Chloé yelled, placing her hands on her hips as she processed the word that came out of his mouth.

"Sorry, Clo! I gotta go, great talking with you," he smiled, leaving a befuddled Chloé so he could follow his heart.

"Marinette!" He called out as the timid girl stopped short in her mission to run up the stairs.

She stopped so suddenly that she began to lose her balance and fall down the stone steps. Adrien, noticing his love falling, quickly dashed over and caught her in his arms before any harm could become of her.

"You alright?" He asked, blushing slightly as he removed his arms from her and rubbed his neck.

"F-Fine," she offered him a weak smile.

"Awesome! Let's..." He trailed off, losing his train of thought as he caught himself getting lost in her eyes.

He began to reminisce all the stolen kisses and romantic gestures that had taken place between the two. His heart soared at the memory of her lips on his.

"Adrien?" Marinette squeaked as she noticed her crush zoning out while staring at her with a smile, she worried internally that he zoned out because he was bored of her.

Oh, how wrong she was.

"Yes?" He snapped out of his thoughts, "oh! Right! Um... Let's head over to Nino and Alya, yeah?"

Marinette nodded vacantly in response as the pair walked into the school together. Was this a dream?

Alya and Nino watched the pair from a distance, Alya was staring at the two while grasping onto Nino's shirt in excitement. She gaped watching Adrien and Marinette converse happily as they looked around hoping to find Nino and Alya.

Alya noticed this and decided that Adrien and Marinette needed some alone time. So, Alya quickly let go of Nino's shirt and grabbed his hand instead as she dragged him into an empty classroom.

"W-What's going on?" Nino asked as Alya quickly shut the door behind them.

This looked bad.

"They're looking for us, they need time to talk by themselves," Alya said rapidly, blushing at her thoughts as she moved over to the window to watch her two friends.
