I wear a fake smile
To mask my tears away;
Though I say, "Today's going
To be great"
Deep inside, I'm actually
Hurting inside.
I feel like no one cares
Though my "smile" says otherwise;
You see someone who is
Happy & loving life,
But I don't think you see
The pain in my eyes.
Does anyone even care
Or has everyone forgotten me?
Has everyone left me abandoned?
Do you not see my heart
That now weeps?
I try to smile but I've lost my joy
A long time ago;
I'm all alone,
Forever forsaken in the cold.
I'll just continue on
To fake a smile;
And as always...
You won't hear any crying
From me,
I'll put my sorrows in denial.
