Mel emitted a loud shriek over the phone as soon as I picked up. This wasn't unusual, as she was quite the fangirl.

"What fictional characters do you ship now?" I asked, sighing.

"DASH! DOMINIC AND ASH! THAT'S YOUR SHIP NAME!"

I felt a blush rise in my face, though I did my best to act calm. "Oh, so you've moved on to shipping real life people. Good to know."

"Well, I mean, you guys WOULD make a very cute couple. Of course I ship you two!" she said matter-of-factly. I could almost see her pouty face over the phone.

"Whatever you say, dork," I rolled my eyes, looking at the clock on the wall in the kitchen. Ash would be here any minute.

Gosh, how does time pass so quickly?

"Hey Mel, I gotta go. Ash is spending the night tonight."

"Right. Got it. Tell me all about it on Monday. Bye!" she hung up, and I could sort of imagine her thoughts.

Probably something along the lines of "they're gonna fuck."

Mel was definitely not the innocent girl that people took her for, hell, she'd probably written more lemon and smut than the author of 50 Shades of Gray.

The bell rang, signaling Ash's arrival.

"Hey, what's up?" I asked as he walked in.

"Nothing much. What are our plans for tonight?" he smiled at me, and god, it was cute.

I shrugged. "I was thinking some video games and youtube videos, movies too maybe. Sound good?"

"Fine by me. Where's your mom?" he tilted his head, looking around for a moment.

"She went out for a little while. She said she'll be back around eleven."

Ash nodded, grinning slightly as we sat on the couch.

"So, wanna watch Jurassic Park?" I asked. I'd seen it many times before, but it was still my favorite movie ever.

All I got was a nod, the boy's blue eyes seemed to be deep in thought.

We watched quietly for a while, until Ash broke the silence.

"So, crushing on any girls lately?"

I was kind of surprised by the question, it seemed a bit random.

"Um, no, actually, not really."

The blondy nodded, looking at me for a moment. He seemed to lean in a little, and then realize what he was doing.

No, it was probably just my imagination running wild.

But then he did it again, and this time I leaned in too. Our lips touched gently for a second, before I heard the twisting of my apartment's door knob.

"I'm home!" I heard my mom say.

I pushed Ash away a little, turning back to the TV screen. "Hi mom!" I said, a bit too enthusiastically.

"Hey hun, I think you two should go get ready for bed. It's a bit late."

We both nodded as we headed to my room.

"Never speak of this again?" Ash asked.

"Agreed."
