Ash left my house later that evening after watching a scary movie, when I of course pretended I was scared so I could hide my face in his shirt.
He gave me a quick kiss before leaving, sending that familiar sensation of bliss coursing through my veins. I grinned, sitting back down on the couch.
Soon, I got a text. I figured it was just Mel or Ash, but no, of course it was Kenna.
How the hell did she even get my number?!
I opened the message reluctantly, hoping it would just be a friendly "hello! Sorry for being an absolute twat muffin earlier! I baked you some cookies though!"
But no, instead I got a picture of her and a blond haired boy kissing. Upon closer inspection...
Yup, that's Ash.
I felt heat rise in my face, but I was smarter than that. Ash wouldn't kiss her, he seemed to not be a big fan of her.
I forwarded the picture to him?
Is this photoshopped? I asked.
WTF. YES. I'D NEVER KISS HER. He replied within minutes, and my shoulders relaxed.
K, that's what I thought. I smiled, setting my phone down and running my fingers through my hair.
Soon though, I got another text from Ash.
Hey, my parents are going out of town for the next few days. Is it alright if I stay with you?
Yeah, totally. I have to ask my mom, but she'll probably say yes.
Thanks!
"MOM!" I yelled across the room.
"Yes?" she replied calmly.
"Is it okay if Ash stays for the next few nights? His parents are going somewhere."
She shrugged. "Sure."
She said yes. Come over whenever you'd like. I texted him again.
I realized something. He was spending the night... Him and I were dating... Hopefully things didn't go down that road, though honestly, Ash didn't seem like the type.
Hopefully he isn't... If he is, I'm hella screwed.
