Hopefully this goes well

Ash looked taken aback slightly. "Really? I mean, yeah, totally," he said, attempting to pull himself back into his cool facade.

"Awesome. How about Friday, we can go to Red Robin's and then maybe a walk in the park?" I asked, excited now.

"Sounds good to me." he smirked, winking at me.

"You're such a flirt, Ashton," I said sarcastically, in my best girl voice.

"Why thank you," he wiggled his eyebrows, making me laugh.

"Ladies and gentlemen, I'm sorry to inform you, but the dance is coming to a close! Make sure you have a ride home and grab some cookies on your way out, because there's no way I'm going to eat all of them!" I heard Mel's voice come over the mic.

"Damn. I thought the night was going well. I'll see you on Friday, okay?" Ash smiled at me as he walked away.

Right, I have to wait until Friday. Winter break. Great.

I sighed. "See ya."

Waiting until Friday proved to be very difficult for me, I was way too excited to see him.

On Wednesday, I got a text from Mel.

Hey, so are you guys a thing now?

I don't know, I'm waiting to see how our date goes.

DATE?!

Yes, Mel, a date. I'm going on a date with Ash.

EEEEEEEEEEEKKKKKK!!!

I could basically hear her screams, even if she wasn't in the room with me. That girl was probably even more excited than I was. Knowing her, she'd possibly already written some fanfic and drawn some fan art about us.

Friday slowly rolled around, and I finally heard from Ash.

Hey, I'm on my way.

Okay cool, I'll see you in a few.

I tried to maintain my cool facade, even though on the inside the butterflies were doing somersaults and pirouettes.

There came a knock on the door, and for a moment I couldn't tell if it was my heart or not.

I went to answer, and of course, there stood the tall, blond boy with sky blue eyes that made me absolutely melt.

"Ready to go?" he asked, smiling.

"Whenever you are." I grinned, taking his hand.
