Chapter three- Working With Alexis

Chapter 3

I was about to kiss her.

Just then my phone started to ring and both of our gaze was drawn to my iPhone on the register. I quickly pulled away from Alexis, hoping she didn't realise what I was about to do. I grabbed my phone and answered before Alexis could say any thing.

"Finally!!!" A loud voice shored at me through the phone, it was Ashley.

"Hello to you too." I said sarcastically. Alexis sniggered, I guessed that she had herd Ashley earlier.

"I didn't say hello! I said finally!" My clueless sister said, not getting that I was being sarcastic.

"Never mind... Wait a minute, Why are you calling me?" I stated in confusion, Ashley hated to even know that she was related to me let alone call me of her own will.

"I need you to do something for me...please." She said in a sweet voice. Okay now I knew something was wrong, Ashley would never use the word 'please' when talking to me-EVER. now I was worried.

"What happened?" I quickly said thinking if she used the word 'please' that it must be VERY serious.

"Nothing happened. I just wanted you to..." there was a long pause but then she continued in a sweet, innocent voice. I was now very scared about what she was about to say. "I just wanted you to stay out of the house please just till eleven." She said the last bit very rushed but still in the sweet voice.

I let out a big breath, I didn't even relies I was holding my breath.

" That's it?" I asked as I expected her to tell me that I needed to preform a impossible and deadly task.

"What, you aren't even going to ask why? You're just going to except it?" Ashley asked in disbelief. I just smirked, I'd be happy to do this because it would mean that Ashley would owe me a favour.

"Of course I'll stay out of the house till eleven but this means that you owe me a favour." A smile creeped across my face as I heard her grunt in annoyance. However, I was still curious about why I had to be out of the house till eleven.

"By the way Ash...ley" I laughed as I knew she hated to be called Ash. "Why am I staying out of the house till eleven?" I said wanting to know.

"I knew you'd ask. Well, I'm throwing a party while mom and dad are out of town and there is only one rule; 'No nerds allowed!' So,my dear Conner, you are NOT allowed to come!" She said shouting certain words.

Our parents had only been gone for an hour, they left as soon as I went to work, and she was ALREADY throwing a party, my parents would be gone for 2 weeks but I guess Alexis just wanted to get the party done so she had time to fix the damages it caused.

"Okay fine, I won't come back to the house till midnight... But you have to clean up all by yourself, I'm not helping like I did last time." I stated sternly.

"The party's only till eleven, why are you coming back at twelve." My air headed sister said.

"I'm coming back at twelve because it will take you about an hour just to get them all out of the house." I said remembering the last party she threw, it ended at midnight but she was still trying to get everyone out by one and even at two there were still a few people there.

"Whatever." She said, not bothering to recall what happened last time. "Anyway got to go now, I'll see you AFTER twelve." She made sure to shout the 'AFTER' extra loud, then hung up before I could say anything or say bye to her.

I put my phone in to my pocket then looked over to Alexis, who was just looking at me with an amused smile. As our eyes met again, I felt my whole body warm up so I quickly darted my eyes away from hers.

"So, what are you going to do for the next six hours?" Alexis questioned me with a smile.

"Umm... I have no idea... I'll probable just hang out at the mall and get a drink or got to the park to hang out." I said nervously, trying (more like failing) to sound as normal as I could.

"Well I'm not really doing anything after work. So,we could maybe hang out?" She said raising an eyebrow as she said the last part.

"Ummm..." I was too shocked to say anything else. I mean, she is not only a popular kid but she is 'thee' popular kid. A nerd hanging out with her,the Queen of school, would not make any sense at all.

I must have said some of that out loud because now Alexis had a angry expression.

"So what if it doesn't make sense! Who cares if it makes sense or not? Am I not allowed to be friends with 'certain' people?" she said angrily, I looked at her in pure shock. I don't think I have ever seen her like this.

Suddenly costumers start to come in and the stores telephone started to ring, Alexis marched over to the telephone and started to write down whatever the person on the other end was ordering. I suddenly had to deal with costumer after costumer, the shop was busy till the end of mine and Alexis' shift. As soon as I was done with all my costumers my shift was officially over. As soon as I got my bag and jacket from the old, grey locker in the small,cosy staff room, I noticed that Alexis had already left. I didn't get a chance to apologise to her.

I walked out of the store with a sigh but as soon as I got out I was being pulled and pushed in to a big, black jeep. Panic washed over me as the car started to move. I lost all feeling in my body and couldn't turn my head to look at who the driver was. thoughts rushed threw my head.

I was in a strangers car.

I was in a car with a stranger driving.

I was not ever going to be found, well not until tomorrow morning.

I was going to die.

This stranger was going to kill me.

life has been hectic right now. But how was that chapter? Was that a good cliff hanger?
