Wow, and they say Monday lasts forever. Monday, September 22nd

-3rd person-

Sam picked the lock, took in a deep breath and walked in.

What he saw next wasn't something he would ever expect form Gabriel since he was always so loud and bright in comparison to most people he had met. The room was dark, the only sprinkles of light shining from the window directly across from the entrance, making it easier to take a once over of the room itself.

The scenery of his room was much different from the outside of his door. The door could only really be described as lively and true and  it showed the things that Gabriel enjoyed most and nothing more. But in here, the feel was incredibly anxious and tense.

The door was so magniacently lying. It was sad, tragic to Sam. There were some spots of personality around the room like his MCU posters and a few framed photos on his far right drawer.

In Sam's head, it sucked. It felt... tainted. Forced shining and smiles on the outside, a dark feeling on the inside. In thought, possibly like how Gabriel felt.

Sam took in everything around until his eyes fixed on Gabriel. He was on the corner of his bed, facing toward the door, with his head resting in his knees. His hands were lightly tangled in his messy golden locks.

Gabriel didn't want to look up, fearing who it may be that has the misfortune of seeing him like this. But his curiosity got to him. His head felt heavy but it shifted up just enough to look for a face.

There he saw Sam frozen in the doorway. He looked confused and melancholy. Like he was trying to solve some imaginary puzzle but none of the pieces fit. Gabe's heart stopped for a mere moment.

Gabe's head began to shake slowly, taking in that it was indeed Sam. He knew exactly what would happen next. Sam would turn around and walk out of that door and would never acknowledge his existence again. Because that's just what people do when they can't find other solutions. Gabe wasn't the only one, everyone ran.

But at that moment, Sam did the very unexpected. Sam paced over to Gabe and wrapped his arms around him so Gabe's head was on his chest. He was kneeling on the bed holding him close. Very unexpected.

Gabriel sat in shock for a second with no reaction before it came to his full attention that someone was comforting. He threw his arms around Sam and began to cry into his chest. It was a soft cry, delicate. It hurt his arms a little but it didn't matter. Sam stayed.

Sam didn't know exactly why he decided to hold Gabe. He just couldn't see Gabe so hurt. All he wanted was to hold him and make whatever was wrong go away. He wanted Gabe happy because that's what friends are for.

After what felt like hours but was actually around 10 minutes they reluctantly broke apart in sync. Sam looked at Gabe expectantly, waiting for answers. Gabe nodded and breathed in.

"Okay so l-last week when I went to the doctor it was about a normal check-up. My entire f-family had to g-get one since it's been so damn long." Gabriel glanced up for a second, guilt aligning his features for stretching the truth that week before. Sam took his hand and squeezed it to send reassurance. He smiled at him the slightest and Gabe smiled back, still unable to look into Sam's eyes.
