Sunday, October 12th
Sam had spent the night at Gabe's for Doctor Who reasons. Gabe woke up without the warmth of Sam next to him, which worried him a little, so he decided to look for him.
He went downstairs first, to the kitchen. He found Sam making them coffee and bacon.
Damn, he IS perfect. Gabe smiled to himself.
"Sweet, Samoose! Coffee!" Gabriel was never a morning person, but seeing Sam shirtless, with the steam from the coffee maker surrounding him, made the morning a Hell of a lot better.
Sam smiled at him and grabbed two cups of coffee, standing on the other side of the counter with their bacon, almost handing Gabe the coffee. He had already given him the bacon.
"Kay, hand it over, fucker." Sam scolded Gabe and waited for his apology.
"Sammy, Samster, Samantha, let me tell you a little something. If that motherfucking coffee isn't in my hand, I will kill you." Gabe, once again, was not a morning person.
Sam reluctantly handed the mug to him and they sat at the Novak table, eating breakfast at 7am. Gabe eating breakfast at 7am, on a Sunday, oh what a sight to see.
'Would you kill me?" Sam signed before he took their plates to clean, leaving the coffee for Gabe to finish. Gabe followed, waddling behind.
"If you deny me coffee, yes. Now don't start doing the dishes, you tool. It's my house." Gabe took the plates from Sam's hands and turned on the water. Sam took them back.
"I'm not in the mood, Winchester," Gabe sighed looking up at him, warningly.
Sam was less than intidmidated. He rolled his eyes and didn't let go of the plates.
"If I make you a romantic poem, will you stop?" Gabe persuaded, wiggling his eyebrows.
Sam thought for a second, the shrugged and nodded. What could go wrong?
"Ahem. Roses are red, you have a nice ass, I like everything about you, including the sass," Gabe finished, slapping Sam's ass.
Sam jumped before rolling his eyes.
'Beautiful. Again.' He waited for another poem.
"Roses are red, violets aren't fucking blue, you have gorgeous eyes, I'd totally fuck you." Sam put his hands on his hips and gave Gabe the plates, knowing the poems could only get worse.
Gabe went on his tiptoes to kiss his boyfriend's cheek before setting the dishes in the sink.
"DAMN! He is hot as Hell. WAY out of your league, Gabe." They both turned from the sink to find Lucifer staring Sam up and down.
"Do not, I repeat, DO NOT look at my Sammy. You're 18 anyway. Just leave." Sam had to admit, protective Gabe was very sexy.
"Whatever. How'd you even get hotstuff over here to date you?"
"Maybe he fell for my obvious good looks and charm," Gabe gloated, "Also, don't fucking dare call him that."
Lucifer put his hands up, "Fine, fine. I gotta ask, what do you see in him, Sam?"
Sam rolled his eyes and whispered into Gabe's ear.
"Sam says, he sees everything you're not. And to back the fuck away." They smirked in sync, high-fiving when an aggravated Satan left.
They sat in the living room while Sam petted his hair.
"So, Sammeh, what's today's plan? Movies? Party? Hanging with out people?" He tuck a lolli in his mouth and looked up at Sam.
'None of the above,' he replied. Sam actually wasn't in much of a good mood anymore. Not only was he angry at Lucifer for saying Sam was out of Gabe's league, he was angry at himself for not knowing exactly why he wasn't happy. He made Gabey laugh and they at breakfast together, it didn't make sense. Then he realized, he wanted to sit at home drinking tea alone.
"What's wrong, Sambo?" Gabe looked at him with furrowed eyebrows.
Sam shrugged and turned forward. He wasn't thinking or listening to Gabe, he was having one of his days. Allow me to explain, Sam was used to having no friends and being alone all the time. After a few months of being at school, he would take a day off and do absolutely nothing. With his social anxiety, he could easily get a panic attack, so he needed to take a day to go back to his original, comfortable setting.
He had been around a lot more people in the past month than he had in years and needed this day sooner. He didn't want to have a panic attack in front of people.
"Seriously, Sam, what's wrong? You can tell me anything, you know. You're kinda scaring me, kiddo." Gabe laughed, hesitantly.
'I need a day off,' Sam explained the best he could.
"You don't mean, like, a break from me, do you?" Gabe was now from scared to worried.
'Yes, I do.' He was now aware that that may have come out wrong.
Gabe was hurt, bad. In a sense, it sounded a lot like Sam was breaking up with him.
He looked down and took a deep breath before speaking up, "Look, Sam, I get it. I knew you would get sick of me, eventually. It's okay that you're breaking up with me. Just, is-is there anything I-I could say t-to get you to s-stay?" Gabe looked down, tears threatening to spill from his eyes. He couldn't look at Sam. He was more busy wonder where he went wrong to lose the best thing that's happened to him in a long time.
"What!? I don't know what you're talking about." Sam hadn't talked out loud in a while, but this was different.
"You breaking up wit-"
"No, Gabe. That's not it." Sam sighed a little.
Gabe looked back up at him with hopeful eyes.
"So you're not breaking up with me? Sam looked at him with a sad smile and shook his head. Gabe let out a breath he had been apparently holding and leaned into Sam again, wiping the almost tears from his eyes.
"Wait, why do you need a break from me?" Gabe was now downright confused.
'Anxiety. Around people so often, I need a day, I don't want a panic attack.' Sam explained further.
"Oh, Okay! You could've just said that," He half joked, "Let's get you home, babe." Gabe got up and stuck his hand out for Sam to take.
They walked silently to his house, fingers in-twined.
They stopped near Sam's driveway, in fear of Dean.
"Well, this is where I let you off. Here, have a lolli, it'll help." He kissed Sam's cheek shyly, setting the lolli in his hand, "I'll see you tomorrow. I'll miss ya." He looked to his feet.
Sam took the lolli and lifted Gabe's head with his finger. He stared into his eyes, lovingly, pressing their lips together in soft motion.
"See ya, Samshine." Sam kissed his boyfriend's forehead and walked away.
