Nick quickly grew impatient and anxious with this whole situation. He knew he needed to be in the delivery room. But with what he did, he knew that wasn't even an option anymore.
Nick sat in the chair in the hallway for what felt like an eternity, but he couldn't even imagine how Judy was feeling.
When the doors to the delivery room opened, Nick jolted up.
"Mr. Wilde......" The nurse who stepped out said softly.
Nick nodded in acknowledgement. His ears then flattened when he watched the nurse sit down in front of him in the chair across. The nurse was a pronghorn.
Nick hesitated and sat back down in his seat slowly, knowing he wasn't going anywhere anytime soon.
"Mr. Wilde........we're scared of your wife's....position...." The nurse said.
"Position? She should be on her back. It's a C-section." Nick replied quickly, pushing back his overpowering urge to cry.
"No.....Mr. Wilde....Judith is loosing more blood then we can keep up with.....One child is out and already in intensive care" With the nurses last sentence, his ears perked up. But he kept what she had said about Judy in mind.
"Currently. The smaller child that seemed to have been separated...or split off from the other egg is in distress.....because the children are so premature.....there's not a hundred percent chance they'd all make it....and as for Judith we don't know—"
"That's enough.....thank you....." Nick cut the nurse off as he quickly looked down at his feet so she wouldn't see the tears swelling his eyes.
The nurse sighed, "We'll contact you if anything changes, Mr. Wilde." She said before walking back towards the delivery room doors and entering once again.
And the second she went through the doors, Nick completely broke down into loud sobbing. He hated this. He just wanted it to be over.
Nicholas didn't even care that there were other mammals staring at him; Prey starring at him. They didn't understand how he felt. No one did.
He then quickly had to try and hold his crying back into whimpers as he noticed the light on his collar turn red.
He placed his paws over his mouth before breaking back down into sobbing. But this time, the light on his collar shined red. Sending a large, painful shock throughout his body. Which didn't help his crying.
This continued for two hours. And the nurse had never gotten back to him. But after the two miserable hours, a different nurse approached him from the doors.
"Mr. Wilde.....the delivery is complete...." The nurse said.
And with that, Nick quickly got up and out of his seat. Waiting for the nurse to give him the 'okay' to enter the room.
The nurse frowned at how fast Nicholas got up, and out of his seat.
She then spoke as she led Nicholas to the door.
"Both children are in intensive care." She said simply.
"B-both?.....I thought there was three." Nick stammered as his ears flattened. He thought he was hearing things.
The nurse scanned Nick up and down for a few seconds before sighing.
"I'm sorry, Mr. Wilde....." She said softly as she pushed the doors open and entered the room.
Nicks stomach dropped. He knew exactly what she meant. And it killed him on the inside. He had waited so long to meet his babies. ALL his babies. But, he figured two was still better than none.
Nick gave a shaky nod as he entered the room with the nurse.
The nurse led him behind two large curtains, and to a door. And behind the door, Judy was laying down in her bed, clearly exhausted.
Nicks eyes widened when he saw Judy was okay. He quickly rushed over to the bunny and hugged her with a iron grip.
"Oh, Judy! I'm so glad you're okay!" He pushed back tears as he nuzzled the bunny.
Judy's ears perked up and she hugged Nick back weakly.
She let out a stuttered laugh before nodding weakly.
"Yeah.....I'm okay...." She looked Nick up and down as she frowned.
The light on his collar, and the redness of his eyes, saddened her.
Nick pulled up a chair to the side of Judy's bed.
"So have you seen them?" Nick asked as he took a deep breath, the light on his collar turning back to green as he tried to calm himself down.
The last thing he needed was to get so excited to see his children, that he get shocked while holding one of them. Now. That would be a nightmare.
"Them? Oh.....no.....I saw them get rushed out of the room though that's for sure...." Judy forced a small laugh as she held back her urge to cry.
Nick frowned and leaned over. He gently kissed the bunny's cheek.
"Judy. Whatever happens to the kids....I just want you to know that you were beyond amazing...." He said with a warm smile, holding back his real emotions.
"So were you....." Judy held his paw tightly with a small smile. Her voice was small. But Nick knew she must've been tired.
When Judy grabbed his paw, it was obvious Nick was a little shaky from the incident that had taken place when Judy had held his paw earlier that day.
Hours, upon hours, upon hours went by, until it was technically the next day before Nick and Judy got information that they'd be laying eyes on their children for the first time.
Judy had gotten a lot of rest from her bed, but for Nick, sleeping in the chair wasn't the greatest thing  ever. It wasn't the first time either. But he didn't care if that's what it took to meet his babies.
Nick and Judy hadn't spoken to each other for ten minutes, they wanted to stay silent for when the children were brought in. Judy had explained that as something her mother did every time she delivered a baby, and Nick didn't really get it, but he went along with it anyway, being that Judy IS the one who did all the work.

Because the children were in intensive care, when they were brought into Judys room, they were inside of incubators. And they both had oxygen tubes in their nostrils.
When they got brought in, Nicks eyes widened. They were so....small. He wasn't expecting miniature babies. He was expecting baby babies. He knew they'd be small because they were premature. But he was in complete shock over their actual size. Judy seemed to see it as normal. Being that they were only a little bigger then a baby bunny.
Judy's eyes were wide and her smile was large as the nurse handed her both her children.
Both children were small enough for Nick to hold in his paws, and Judy in her arms.
Nick stared over at Judy as she held the fragile newborns in her arms.
It was clear Judy was overwhelmed.
"Hi...I'm your mommy....." Judy said softly down to the two. It wasn't clear which she was talking to. But the message got through. Both infants beginning to squirm around slowly and warmly in their mothers arms.

The boy was slightly smaller than his sister. He had the physical appearance of a fox, but the only acceptation being his fur color and his ears. He had grey fur, just like his mother, and large rabbit-like ears, also from mom. But he had large emerald eyes. Something he got from Nick. Clearly.

The girl on the other hand, was around a normal size for a baby bunny, but slightly bigger. She had the physical appearance of a bunny. But the only difference from Judy being her fur color was orange, and white on the underside, and her ears were small and pointed, just like her father. But she had gotten Judy's stunning violet eyes.

"They're so.....small.....and.....fragile......" Nick said slowly with a warm smile as he looked down at his children.
Judy smiled and nodded slightly.
"They're so cu—" Nick quickly caught himself.
Judy glared at her husband and shook her head in disapproval.
"Wanna hold one?" She asked softly.
Nicks eyes widened a bit and he nodded quickly–Although he was nervous.
Judy slowly and very gently handed her daughter to Nick.
"That's Harper." Judy said with a wink before looking down at her son in her arms.
Nicks smile widened.
"Harper....." He repeated as he looked down at his daughter and his smile only got bigger.
"And Bruno....." Judy nuzzled her son softly.
"Bruno....I like it." Nicholas replied to Judith's name choice with a small laugh.
Nick had gotten a bit overwhelmed. This was happening very fast.
"They're mine.....you're mine....." He whispered down to his daughter as his smile only got larger. He nuzzled the baby softly.
Nick had gotten so happy and excited, he didn't even notice the light on his collar change from green to yellow. But Judy did. Her ears flattened quickly and her eyes traveled to her daughter who was in the predators hands.
"You're mine! And daddy loves you!" Nick said down to his daughter as she slept peaceful along with her brother.
"Nichol—"
"You're such a pretty little princess, Huh?" Nick chuckled as he cut Judy off.
And that was it. Nicks ears perked up as he heard the sudden beep from his collar. And he reacted faster than he ever reacted to a shock in his entire life of having one.
He turned to Judy and almost dropped Harper onto Judy's lap as he hunched over and pulled his ears down against his head as he felt the agonizing shock travel through his body. Starting at his neck.
Judy's ears flattened as she quickly caught the baby and held her close. She looked away from Nick when he got shocked. She felt so guilty for not being able to take his collar off in public......but she knew she couldn't do anything about it until they got home. Or at least when Nick would get to the park.
