A month went by, and the two were still as happily married as they were the day they got married. Except that neither of them advertised their relationship in public. They already had to deal with hate and protestors, and if they wore their rings. It would've only of gotten worse. But of course, because this was Zootopia, most of the hate was mainly towards Nick. Being that he is the predator in their predator-prey relationship. Only a few people knew that the two got married. And by a few, it mostly consists of Judy's family, Nick's mother, Finnick, Clawhauser, and Honey.
It wasn't a lot. But it was the only people they could trust with their secret.
But even though they had only been married for a month, Judy was already asking about children. And Nick would always push that subject away, every single time Judy would bring it up, and lately, she was bringing it up a lot more than usual.
In reality. He did want children. But deep down, he was scared. He knew something was going to happen. Something bad. But he didn't know what yet.
He knew that once the children would get older, they'd have to get a tame collar. Just like his. And it broke his heart. Even though Judy was prey, Nick was a predator. And in Zootopia, if a child was eligible for a collar. There was no doubt that they would get one. But being prey, Judy had no knowledge of that.
Judy was a ZPD officer. Which meant she had a special tool to take off a predators tame collar. And Judy, even though she was loyal to her job, she repeatedly broke the law to make Nick happy. But Judy wasn't able to posses a tame collar removal gun on her uniform until she got to work. Being that the ZPD knew she lived with a predator. They just didn't know she was married to that predator.
Judy had taken extra collar removers from the ZPD, and gave them to Nick to use at the park. Nick would use the tool to take off predators collars when they entered the park. And he never really thought about his park until Judy would randomly show up. He always made sure Judy was never there. He'd be crushed, as well as Judy, if she got fired from the ZPD because she hid the existence of her husbands business.
So he made sure to keep both their jobs separated.

It was four thirty in the morning. And the two were getting ready for work. Judy was getting ready to go to the ZPD. And Nick was getting ready to go to Wild Times.
Nick had already put on his suit as he walked down the hallway of the inside of their dark apartment. He squinted his tired eyes at the bright light coming from his and Judy's room. He yawned before taking a step into the room. He then squinted his eyes even more at the bright light. He then raised an eyebrow at the sight of Judy changing into her uniform. But that didn't faze him very much. He leaned over to the light switch and flicked the lights off. The room quickly got dark, all except the light from the hallway, and the small green light on Nick's tame collar.
Judy's ears perked up and she yelped quietly as the lights suddenly turned off. She then turned to see the large silhouette of the fox in the doorway.
Judy let out an annoyed huff as she turned back and continued to dress herself.
Nick gave the bunny a lazy smirk as he walked over to her. He easily wrapped his arms around the bunny's small stature before he rested his chin on top her head. He made sure his collar wasn't pressed against the back of Judy's head.
"Ever heard of knocking?" Judy asked with a small chuckled as she slid the top of her uniform on as he fox rested his chin on her head. She lowered her ears, so they weren't in his way.
"Mm...no. Ever hear of changing with the door shut?" Nick replied as he kissed the side of her neck softly. He was in no way trying to be sexual. He was just giving the bunny some love.
"No." Judy said with a soft smirk as she pulled away from the fox. She then turned and looked up at him. Her ears perked up as she held her own hands.
"It's kinda early, Carrots. I'm surprised I didn't have to wake you up like every other morning." Nick snickered.
He half expected Judy to say something sarcastic, like she usually did when he teased her. But she just smiled up at him. She didn't even respond. And it kinda creeped Nick out a bit.
Nick cleared his throat, and he opened his mouth to speak, but got cut off by Judy.
"Well. Time for work." Judy said with a bright smile.
"Uh—yeah. Yeah." Nick forced a nervous smile.
