The waiting room. Such an awful place. Although Nick had been kicked out of the delivery room when the kids were born last time, this time, it was no different. He still continued to yell, and plead, and cry a little before getting sent into the hallway.
He didn't shock Judy when she was going into delivery, he had shocked himself multiple times out of stress, being that the kit that was soon to get delivered was under stress, having it umbilical cord wrapped around its neck.
The same doctor that delivered the twins assisted Judy again. But Judy nor Nick asked for he was just the only doctor there willing to deliver an interspecies baby, but it not like any other doctor could say no, he just offered himself. He was an armadillo, but he wasn't any ordinary doctor, he had seen Nick multiple times due to neck injuries years earlier at an old walk in clinic, so after seeing the familiar last name, he had no problem offering his services. It was the least he could do. He also helped monitor Harpers heart, and he had very much to tell Nick and Judy, but now wasn't the time.
"Can he come back in here?" Judy pleaded to a nurse as she got prepared for another C-section.
"Who? The fox?" The nurse, a pig, asked curiously. "Mrs. Wilde. He can't—"
"I've been told that before. I know why he can't come in. I'm not stupid, but I'll try and not let that bring up my stress level, okay?!" Judy began to raise her voice, bringing up her stress level.
"What seems to be the problem?" The doctor, Dr. Armilo, approached Judy as she got laid down on the bed.
"I want my husband in here but you guys keep sending him out because he keeps getting shocked and you all think it's bringing my stress levels up but it's not. I promise...." Judy struggled to speak as she felt tears swell up her violet eyes.
"Mrs. Wilde...." the doctor stopped speaking before sighing. "Childbirth is one of the most important moments of any parents life. Whether it be the first...or second time. No parent should have to miss it, in this case, again. Go get him." The doctor demanded another nurse before Judy smiled with great pride.
After almost half an hour of looking for Nicholas, he was found in an odd spot. He was shoving large pieces of paper into a garbage can in one of the hallways. What was he doing? Well whatever the reason may be, his collar was yellow and was beeping like crazy.
"Uh. Mr. Wilde....." the nurse, a female hare asked as she squinted her eyes at the fox's odd behavior.
Nicholas' ears perked up and he quickly turned to face the nurse.
"Uh y-yes?! What's wrong? I wasn't doing anything wrong—what is it?" He snapped before his ears flattened, realizing she may be reporting about the baby."The doctor is allowing you....access...to the delivery...room." The nurse sneered as Nick seemed to immediately run passed her once she even mentioned the word 'doctor' at all.
Nick rushed into the delivery room, but made quick stops to rip off more images off of bulletin boards and doors on the way there before shoving them all into a tight ball and into a garbage can before actually entering the delivery room.
Meanwhile, Harper and Bruno were having a hard time adjusting to the other small mammals in the waiting room set up for the children. But it wasn't them, it was the other mammals parents. Each parent kept their child on their lap, away from both crossbreeds as they played with the available toys. Both children had taken off their jackets, exposing their face and physical appearance, causing both the parents, and employees to whisper, being that everyone in the hospital, with the exception of Nick, and his two children, were prey animals.
The twins birth had been kept a secret. Nick and Judy paying a very large amount of money to Zootopia's general hospital to not report anything on file or in the news about the children's birth. But that was seven years earlier. They hadn't made the same arrangements this time, being that Nick was the one who was the quick thinker, and thought of that solution years earlier, but this time, being that Nick was so distracted with ripping down all the images he so dreaded to see on the walls of the hospital, the hospital unwilling releases information they had been delivering an interspecies child, and with the report of that, the files from seven years ago were also released. But nobody told Judy or Nick, being that they were both very busy at the moment.
