taeyong stumbled through the door of his mansion at 2:26am. he left the girl he met at nightclub back at the motel after she had fallen asleep.

he was glad that his parents didn't make it home just yet. usually, those kinds of parties last all night and into the late mornings. taeyong slipped out of his crumpled suit and slid into his cold bed and fell into a sleepless night.

taeyong woke up that morning to his annoying alarm. he didn't have any signs of a heavy hangover which he was very happy. he decided to get ready for another day in the office.

whenever taeyong would walk into his father's company, he would get stares of awe and adoration, this time, the stares were full of pity and disgust. he didn't break his unwavering eyes but couldn't help but wonder why everyone was looking at him so differently.

taeyong was about to get settled in his office when his phone rang, it was his father. "good morning father, what do you need?"

"come to my office straight away lee taeyong."

taeyong walked the short distance to his father's office quarter to come face to face with his secretary. taeyong nodded in her direction to which she opened the door to the lavish room.

his father was already pacing back and forth, he knew something was terribly wrong.

"father, what is wrong?" taeyong asked in a monotone voice. without even sparing a glance at his son, mr. lee threw down a magazine article with a picture of taeyong plastered on the cover page.

taeyong noticed it was him and the girl he had taken over to the motel just last night. how could someone have got this picture?

"explain to me this." mr. lee's face was bright red with anger. "do you know what you have done boy?!" his booming voice echoed throughout the vast office. taeyong was lucky that the walls were soundproof so no one else could eavesdrop on the conversation.

"i-i don't know how this happened..." taeyong admitted sheepishly. even he would cower before his father's wrath.

"of course you don't! if you did, this stuff wouldn't have happened!" mr. lee let out a frustrated sigh, he resumed his pacing. "our stocks have started dropping because of this little incident." he turned his computer screen to face his son, showing his the red lines on the graph. "you're going to take over this company soon, and you can't afford to start up scandals like this at such a sensitive time." his father lectured.

taeyong nodded his head in apology before his father continued, "you're lucky this is the first scandal these tabloids were able to uncover, so we should return to normal within a few months after this passes away." mr. lee pulled out a few papers from his desk and threw it so his son could look at it.

"what is this?" taeyong asked while flipping through the pages. he noticed that all of the pages had a picture of a different girl and personal information about each and every one of them. "i didn't want to have to do this but this is taking way too long--you're 24, going on 25, and have no wife--not even a girlfriend for that matter."

taeyong had been dreading this moment since he hit the age of 21, when his mother started pestering him to find a wife and start a family.

it is true that taeyong has had a few girlfriends in his past, but they were all the same. they were all arrogant and close-minded, the only thing they cared about was money and materialistic things. he didn't want to be with any of them, he just wanted park miyoung.

"you're lucky that your mother and i are giving you a choice in who you want to marry, or else we would have started planning the wedding before." mr. lee sat back down behind his scattered desk. before shooing away his son, "i know you don't want to do this, but just think about what is good for the company right now eh?"
