Unexpected// Calum Hood

Chapter 14

Delilah's POV

*3 weeks later*

Calum and I have been dating for about 3 weeks now. He's really sweet and caring. I've found myself slip up the L word a few times, but I honestly don't think he's bright enough to notice (I'm sorry cal ily). He's taken me on some amazing dates, and adventures

7am; monday
I wake up to the sound of my alarm. I have to deal with another day of school, but since Calum and I started dating it's a lot more fun to have someone to chat with in class. I get out of bed and throw on a skater skirt with some sheer tights and a long sleeve crop and paired it with my boots. My phone buzzed

Calum: I'm outside princess, hope you slept well xx
Me: I'll be right out!

I grabbed my coat and ran out the door. Calum got out of the car and opened up my door for me. He got back in and drove on the way to school. He was telling about how he beat Luke at FIFA the past weekend. We arrived at school and I kissed Calum goodbye as I walked on my way to English class. I sat down. I started to take notes from the board until I felt a piece of paper hit my back. It was from Ashton. It read "Delilah, I really need to talk to you. I know there isn't any reason you would want to but please. Meet me in front of the back building at 12:15? Hope to see you there". I honestly don't want to hear it but I thought I would give it a chance to hear what bullshit he had to say. I went on my way to the building and saw him standing there.
"Hi"
"You have 5 minutes, go"
"I really just want to apologize for what I did. I really did like you and I wanted us to be something. I really did"
"3 minutes" I said
"I'm just sorry for how everything turned out and I jus-" I stopped him
"You know what, I'm not sorry for how it turned out. I ended up with a great guy and was able to avoid an asshole like you. You broke me In a way that was healthy for me", I chuckled," and I'm definitely not going to accept your bullshit apology. If you really liked me you wouldn't have done it, and I hope that memory of you screwing up torments you in every relationship you have. Have a nice life"

I walked away feeling like I won for once. I went to my last class which went by in a blur. I met up with Calum. He said, "where were you at the last bell" I replied "long story I'll explain later". We drove to my house, and hung out. My mom wasn't home, so we just chilled in my room. We were laying in my bed cuddling, and Calum turned around and we started kissing. His hands started roaming around my body, searching for a place to put them, and he rested them on my bum. As it started to get more intense he started squeezing and moving them in different places. He slipped his tongue in my mouth and at this point I was shocked it came this far. It continued on until he started to slowly grind on me. I stopped him. I said "wait, Calum" he stopped. "What's wrong, princess?" I said back, "I don't want to be a buzz kill, but I've never experienced things like this before, and I'm nervous and anxious. Would it be cool if we just took this a little slow. I'll be ready eventually but just not yet." He smiled. "I would wait centuries if it made you feel comfortable, darling. You choose the pace, it's all up to you" I lightly kissed his lips and looked at him. For a minute without saying a word

"God, I love you" he said

I smiled the widest I have in a while.
"I love you too"

*The Weekend*

I decided to have another 'get together'. But this time hopefully without the cheating boyfriend scandal. I text Luke, Michael and of course Calum to come over at 6:30. I ordered 2 pizzas and some soda. The boys all got here at the same time. I pulled out some board games and we all sat there for hours having a blast. I lost about 2 out of the 5 games we played. We all see started talking.

"So Luke, how's Francesca?" I asked and smiled

"She's incredible, and she respects that I'm not ready for 'it' yet."

"That's amazing" I said and smiled. Calum looked over at me with a grin, and I planted a light kiss on his cheek.

"I hate couples" Michael said in an annoyed tone.

"Once you find love, you won't feel the same" Calum said

"Fuck love" he laughed but in a kind of sarcastic mood

"Someone will eventually appreciate your colored hair, and hatred of love" I said and everyone laughed including him.

"Ok lovebirds, let's do something." Michael said

We put on a flick and made some popcorn. I fell asleep on Calum and Michael fell asleep on the couch.

Calum's POV

Delilah is so beautiful, even when she sleeps. I know that sounds creepy, but she is. How did I get so lucky?
