Mia

After searching through the Loretta’s house – more specifically Tiffany’s room, the girls went home separate ways. Because of the day’s events, Mia's parents invited Dawn to sleep in Mia's room instead of the mini flat. No one felt safe after what just happened that day. Even though the girls were Tiffany’s best friends, Logan (as well as Kate) was the most shocked out of everyone. He just saw someone’s dead body. Sure, he watched shows like The Walking Dead – a show that exposes corpses all the time. However, they weren’t legitimately real. Tiffany’s body was definitely real.
Mia couldn’t stop hugging her little brother. She felt so sympathetic towards him. The reality hadn’t really sunk in for her that Tiffany was dead. She obviously knew that she was in fact dead, however, she didn’t feel as though that was the case. She was more focused on Logan than anyone else. Dawn on the other hand, was just silent. Emotionless. As soon as they got back, Dawn headed straight to bed without a word.
It was around 1 AM before Mia finally got into bed. After comforting Logan and Dawn until they fell asleep, Mia thought it was about time she should sleep as well. She knew she had to be the strong one in the group, because after all, who else would be the one to comfort everyone? However, on the inside, Mia knew she wasn’t really that strong. She needed someone to comfort her. That person was James. Her most recent rescuer. She was most likely not going to be able to sleep with that burden over her head, so after tossing and turning for about half an hour, she decided to call James.
“James?” Mia whispered into her phone.
“Yeah Mia?” James replied in a husky kind of voice. He was most likely sleeping before she woke him up with her call.
“I’m sorry if I woke you. And I know it’s really late, but do you mind if I come over and sleep at yours? I can’t sleep here. My mind is too cluttered with frightening thoughts. I need you”
“Of course sweetie. What about your friend, Dawn?”
“She’s a heaver sleeper. She won’t know I’m gone.”
“Okay, come over now then,” James said. “See you soon beautiful”. Mia hung up her phone and slowly crept her way out of her room where Dawn was still heavily sleeping on the fold out floor mattress. Since it was still fairly cold outside, she slipped on her long white cardigan over her low cut singlet and three quarter leggings. Before heading out the front door, she checked both her parent's room and Logan’s room to see if they were still asleep; luckily they was. She knew they would kill her if they found out she was sneaking out at time like this. A killer was on the streets after all.

As soon as James opened his door, Mia run into his arms hugging him close. Tears began to form in her eyes, but she refused to let them fall.
“It’s all going to be okay sweetie” James cooed. “I’m here, it’s alright”
“James, I’m so scared” Mia shivered. Mia wasn’t only scared because of the fact that Tiffany was murdered, but because she never usually was this emotional around other people. It scared her that she could be this vulnerable. Killers take advantage of vulnerability.
“Let’s go inside, it’s pretty cold out here” James took Mia’s hand and huddled her inside. As they entered inside, Mia saw Colton sitting on the sofa in the living room watching T.V.
“What are you doing here?” Colton eyed Mia suspiciously.
“I can’t sleep.” Mia said simply and began to follow James upstairs. Suddenly she remembered what Elora said about Colton at the party. Mia dropped her hand from James’ and turned back around to face Colton.
