****Niall's POV****

When we arrived to where the reception was, I was so nervous I thought I was going to throw up. 

"Niall, why do you look so sick?" Liam asked, squeezing my hand as we began walking up to the doors. I shrugged and shook my head. 

"I've just never been to a party like this Liam," I said as we stood outside the door. Liam grinned and gave me a kiss. 

"It's going to be fine Niall, it'll be fun!" Liam exclaimed as he pushed the doors open and all I saw were balloons, flowers, pictures, food, and decorations covering the huge ballroom. I gawked as Liam dragged me through the venue to a table off to the side. 

"What's this?" I grinned seeing only two name tags at the table. Liam flashed me a smile as we sat down and waited for Kate and Jay to arrive. 

"I told you that we'd be together tonight," Liam said shyly as he took my hand. I smiled to myself as I thought about how perfect Liam was. He went out of his way to keep us together and happy; I don't think I could love Liam any more even if I tried! 

"Do we have to dance?" I scrunched up my nose and Liam frowned as he nodded. I groaned quietly and I saw sadness fill Liam's eyes, but he shrugged. 

"We don't have to if you don't want to," Liam said, not meeting my eyes. I gave his hand a squeeze and he glanced up at me. 

"I wouldn't pass up the chance to dance with you Liam," I grinned and life refilled his eyes as he took my other hand and held them tightly. 

"You're the best you know that?" Liam asked softly as he leaned over for a kiss. I grinned and began to lean over to meet Liam's request, but was cut off as the lights went off and we were left in the dark besides some twinkling lights and a spotlight on the door. I grumbled angrily as I slumped back in my chair and heard Liam chuckle as he squeezed my hand. 

"It is now my great pleasure to introduce you to Mr. and Mrs. Jay Applin!" a DJ said as the door opened and Jay and Kate were revealed. Everyone stood up and clapped as they made their way across the floor and took their seats up on a higher platformed table. The lights slowly began to return to their original color and soft music played in the background. I glanced over at Liam to find him already staring at me. I bit my lip and he blushed. 

"Stop staring at me," Liam winked at me and I shrugged as I leaned back in my chair.

"When do we get to eat? I'm starving," I grumbled and Liam rolled his eyes playfully as he glanced at me. 

"You're always starving! Look over there, people are bringing around appetizers now," Liam answered and I smiled as we chose between a soup and were given a small salad. My stomach growled, but I couldn't eat as I heard music starting to play and people skipping over to the dance floor. I nervously ate my soup as Liam conversed with people at nearby tables. 

"Niall, you want to go up and get some food?" Liam asked, suddenly behind me, holding his hand out. I nodded slightly and took his hand and we made our way up to the table's filled up with towers of food. I grinned widely as began stacking as much as I could onto the plate. 

"Niall! Save some for the other guests!" a girl shrieked, and I turned around and saw Kate looking at me all disgruntled. 

"Oh come on! I'm hungry! I promise, I won't come up for thirds," I grinned as I skipped off before she could yell at me any more. When I got to the table, Liam was already eating and he smiled up at me.
