****Zayn's POV****
I had just drifted off to "sleep" if you could call sleeping on a metal bed sleeping when I heard commotion coming from Harry's cell. I slowly opened my eyes and propped myself up on my elbow to peer through the crack and saw Harry's body moving around quite quickly.
"Harry," I mumbled in exhaustion, but he ignored me and continued going from one end of the room to the other. I rubbed my eyes and squinted, hoping maybe I'd see something better, but continued to just see Harry zipping by.
"Harry!" I said a bit louder and I saw him stop and scurry over to where my eye was looking at him. He pressed his eye up and I saw them smiling and full of some color.
"Oh good, you're up! I was going to wake you up in a few minutes anyways!" he said and I just frowned as I backed away a bit and watched as he moved away too and went back to his rummaging around. I took a deep breath, stretching before I decided to ask what in the world the boy could possibly be doing.
"What are you doing?" I asked and he grunted as I saw him lifted something which only made me frown more.
"Breaking us out! Isn't it obvious?" Harry asked excitedly and I felt my eyes widen regardless of how tired I was. I swallowed hard and held my hands tightly. I knew Harry's plan was genius, but there was always the chance we'd mess up something and we wouldn't make it out...and maybe we'd be shipped out of the country to a higher secured area or worse...executed.
"Listen to me Zayn, as soon as I open your door you have to run to the end of the hall. I originally planned on us escaping out of that door, but you have to get the air vent open, then we'll at least be safe. Once we're up there we have to move quickly and quietly to find the vent that leads to the outside. I know there's one because I saw it from behind the fences when I go outside. Do you understand?" Harry said quickly and I nodded to myself, although I was extremely overwhelmed and everything Harry had said had nearly gone in one ear and out the otherside.
"Okay," I replied as I heard banging.
"You're going to alert them!" I cried and Harry snickered.
"That's the point Zayn! When someone comes, I'll knock them out with this rock and get the master key. You understand?" Harry asked once more and I took a deep breath, standing up and preparing to run....something I hadn't done in a very long time.
"I'm not as in shape as I was before I got put in this place," I sighed and Harry laughed.
"If you want to get out of here, you'll push through. Once I get Louis out, we have to be extremely fast," Harry said, seemingly repeating himself; his mechanism to calm himself down. I chewed on my lip so much I began tasting blood and quickly wiped it away with my hand.
"Are you ready?" Harry huffed and I sat up, nerves taking over.
"Now?" I asked quickly, pressing my body against the cool, stone wall.
"In a few minutes," he said softly, continuing to bang away. I closed my eyes and took a deep breath as I imagined the possible outcomes. In a matter of minutes, I could be back on the outside, living my life and finally seeing Niall in person rather than having to dream him up, or I could be tazed, shot, sent off to another prison in another country, or even killed. I slowly stood up from my bed and began pacing the room and biting my nails.
"Are you sure this is going to work?" I asked frantically and I heard Harry breathing heavily and he sighed.
"I don't know Zayn, but you freaking out about it isn't making me feel any better about it," he answered and I nodded, my breathing quickening as I heard Harry make a very loud bang. I was sure someone had to have heard it.
