My First Kiss

After school we head over to Harry's bakery. It's a bit of a walk, but neither of us minds.

He takes my hand every time we cross a street, which is a lot, and it makes my heart race every time.

While we walk Harry cracks dumb jokes, and sings for me when I ask him to.

He seems to really enjoy singing for me now. He's not as shy as before.

Too soon we start the trail that goes by the woods and leads to the bakery. And Harry is suddenly quiet.

I turn to him, and he looks at me.

There's a seriousness in his eyes that is very rare for him. As I'm about to ask what's wrong but he says,

"Why don't take a different trail?"

"Sure." I say

He leads me towards the woods and takes my hand, steading me on the rocky path.

I look up into the trees and see the beautiful colors of fall change the leaves.

There are little nests here and there between branches, and the birds that inhabit them flitting across the trees here and there.

I can't help but smile at the beauty of it all, and I turn to Harry to see if he's watching too.

But when I look at him he isn't staring at the trees, he's looking at me. And I suddenly realize that we've stopped walking all together.

He smiles at me and looks at his shoes. Then looks back up at me with his puppy dog eyes.

I lift one eyebrow and say,

"I know that look," and laugh a bit,

"What is it Harry?"

He looks back down,

"Nothing." He mutters

"Harry," I say to him stepping closer

"You can tell me anything, you know."

At that he looks up and takes a deep breath. He looks straight into my eyes.

"Amelia Evangeline Lucas." he says, still staring into my eyes. "I like you. Like, a lot. And you probably don't feel the same way about me, but I just wanted you to know because I've been wanting to tell you about it for a while, and-"

That's all I needed. I leaned in and kissed him. Right on the mouth.

I've never kissed anyone before, so I didn't know what I was doing.

But I know that no other kiss would feel this way.

The first moment out lips touched, I felt warmth spread through my entire body.

From the tips of my toes to the top of my head I felt fire. It wasn't unpleasant, but it burned through me. Making me feel alive and free. Like I could do anything as long as Harry was here with me.

I back away from him, taking a shaky breath and watching as he stepped closer to me, pressing me up against a tree and pressing his lips up against mine again.

The fire flowed through me again. Hotter this time.

He kissed me repeatedly, holding me close to him. He presses me harder against the tree, and placed his hands on my hips.

I run my hands through his hair, and hold him close to me. He leaves my lips and starts down my throat.

I laugh and say,

"It seems like you've done this before, Styles."

He makes his way back up my throat and back to my lips, he stops and pulls away.

"You're actually my first kiss." He says with a shy smile.

His hair is messy and out of place from my hands running through it, there's a flush in his cheeks, and a light in his eyes.

He runs his hand across my cheek and leans his head on mine. I place one hand behind his neck and the other on his chest.

I feel his heartbeat under my hands, matching mine. His torso is up against mine and I know that neither of us wants to move.

I find myself wishing that I could freeze time and stay in this moment forever.

"I like you too." I whisper to him.

He laughs and pulls away. He looks at me and places both his hands on my face.

"I wish we could stay here forever."

"Me too."

He backs away and I know this moment is over. If we'll have another like this I don't know.

He takes my hand and leads me back towards the trail, he points out the fish in the stream, and the birds in the trees.

I look only at him though. The way he smiles, how he laughs, and the way his eyes light up when he sees something beautiful.

He swings our hands between us and hums. I smile and kiss him quickly on the cheek.

He smiles and puts his arm around my shoulders.

We stay like this until we reach the bakery. And I can't help but feel like this moment is perfect. Let's just hope it lasts.
