Little surprises

Harry ends up taking me to sushi. We sit at the table next to a hipster couple that both seem to come straight out of a magazine.

Harry ordered for me, telling me he loves his stuff, and smiles at me from across the table.

"What?" I say, taking a sip of my coke

He props his head up on his hand and smiles even wider, showing off his dimples.

"I really hope you come to England with me. It would bring back a lot of memories." He says

"It'll turn out fine." I say

I don't know what Simon or my boss would say, but I know Harry isn't going to just drop it.

We finish lunch and decide to head over to rodeo drive.

"But Harry I-"

"Come on. Pleeaaase?" He says, dragging out the please until I give up and nod. He smiles and speeds up the car.

He pulls me down the street, showing me stores and asking me if I wanted anything.

"No, Harry. It's too expensive." I say

He just smirks and looks at me with a funny face.

Harry walks into the nike store and immediately lights up. He heads over and picks up the brightest pair of running shoes I have ever seen.

"Uh, you're gonna get those?" I say

"Yea! They're awesome!" He yells

I laugh and follow him over to the cashier, Harry talking excitedly. The cashier looks up and her jaw drops and I swear I hear her heart stop.

"Oh my god." She says

"You're Harry-"

"Shhh!" He says putting a finger to his lips and hands her his credit card. She just nods and finishes checking him out.

He smiles and takes my hand, leading me out of the store. He puts his sunglasses on, but it's obvious who he is because of his hair.

"Wait, Harry." I say

I pull him into a little boutique and lead him to the back, where all the hats and beanies are.

I take a quick look at Harry and turn to the wall covered in beanies.

Harry wears a white t-shirt, blue skinny jeans and his favorite brown boots that are marked with age. Lou threw a big brown jacket at him before he left, and it now sits on his shoulders.

I pull down a dark green beanie and hold my hand out,

"Ten dollars please." I say

He raises and eyebrow, but hands me the money and doesn't ask questions.

I run to the cashier and pay for the beanie, and a Chapstick that I absolutely couldn't resist.

I run back to him, and pull the beanie on his head. Tucking in his curls is the hardest part, since they seem to stick out in all directions.

He smiles when I'm finished and kisses me, I giggle and pull away,

"We're in public." I whisper to him

He laughs and steals one last kiss, then pulls me outside. We walk across the street when Harrys phone goes off.

He looks at me and quickly answers it,

"Hello?" He says

There's a mans voice on the other line, but I can't hear what he's saying. Harrys eyebrows furrow and he takes my hand and pulls me towards the car.

"Alright. We'll be there in ten minutes. Okay. Okay, bye."

"Who was it?" I say as he opens the door for me.

"Simon," he closes the door, puts the bags in the trunk and comes to the drivers seat.

"He wants us to go to the studio right now."

"Oh." Is all I say

Simon Cowell isn't really one of the top people on my 'Have to Meet Before I Die' list. All I've ever heard about him is that he's very mean, and very opinionated.

But Harry doesn't seem phased, so why should I be.

I snort at my own ignorance and look out the window. I can feel Harry staring at me, but I don't look at him.

We arrive sooner than I'd like and make our way to the lobby. A blond lady I've never seen sits at the concierges desk and smiles at us when we walk in.

"Hello. Mr.Styles I assume?" She says in a sweet voice, not even giving me a second glance.

Harry smiles politely,

"Hello. Yes, I'm Mr. Styles."

She stands and makes her way toward him,

"Follow me please." She says

Harry turns to me and takes my hand,

"Come on, love." He says

I smile at the ladys face. She obviously thought I was an assistant or something. I revel in my small victory for only a second before nerves catch me. What will Simon think of me? Will I lose my job? What will my boss say?

"Harry," I say, almost choking, as the woman leads us to one of the meeting rooms.

Harry looks at me and concern dominates his features,

"What's wrong, Mia?"

I shake my head as we near one of the doors,

"Harry what if-" I can't finish. I choke again and he takes my shoulders, stopping in the middle of the hallway.

"Harry, what if they say we can't be together? What if they don't let us see each other? I wouldn't be able to-"

"Stop." He says,

"That won't happen, okay? It won't. I won't let it happen."

I nod and he hugs me, erasing all my worries for the briefest moments.

The blond concierge clears her throat, annoyed at the delay that keeps her from her shiny desk and magazines.

Harry takes my hand again and we walk into to the room.

I stop in my tracks. What? What are they doing here? They haven't spoken to me in months. This doesn't make any sense.

"Mom? Dad?"
