Nevada's POV.
Me and Caleb rush over to Cathy as Jack is getting a doctor. Cathy is holding her stomach and screaming. I don't know whats going on with her. I mean she's been eating more and sleeping a lot. She does go walking, but I've always known Cathy as the running type. The doctors take Cathy to do an immediate check up. I call my mom and dad. Then I call to reschedule my doctor's, ear, eye, dentist appointments. I look at Caleb as tears start poring down my face. He pulls me into a deep hug.

I wake up to the sound of crying. Hoping that my birthday wasn't a nightmare, I open my eyes.
Nope, still in this damn hospital.
I look around the waiting room. Caleb is still sleep. But Jack is crying. I wake up Caleb and we walk to Jack. "Jack." I start but he just points to the doctor. Caleb stays with Jack. I walk over to the doctors. "Umm, excuse me, I'm here for Lizzy Faxon and Cathy Brown. Are they okay? Is Liz's baby okay?" I ask shyly. The doctor has this sad look on his face.
"Miss. May I ask what your name is?" The doctor asks.
"Nevada. Nevada Brown." I say.
"Lizzy and her baby is great, healthy. Luke passed out. But your sister...well, she was pregnant for 2 weeks." The doctor says. When that doctor says that Cathy was pregnant, my life shifts.
"W-what do y-you m-mean by 'was pregnant'." I said.
"Your sister has had a miscarriage, it's almost impossible for her to have a child. Let alone keep one in her whom. I'm so sorry." He said. I begin to feel weak. I run to find my sister. When I finally find her, the room is pitch black. My mom and dad is out side the room, tears falling from their faces. I walk in the room, my sister curled up, faces the wall. I hear sobs and realization hit me. I was crying too. I walked over to her bed and climbed in the bed, cuddling with her so she can know that I'm here for her.
"What if I named the baby El." She whispers. I tighten my grip around her.
Why is life so hard.
