"...and this is Luke" I managed to catch the last part of what Leona was saying.

"I'm Rylan Asher Stone." He said with an air of arrogance, while flashing a million dollar smile... One that didn't reach his eyes, but don't get me wrong, it was still as sexy as hell.

Rylan Asher Stone? Does this guy think he's the freaking pope or something? I mean who the hell even introduces themselves like that anymore? Not that I had anything against popes, they were actually pretty cute if you ask me.

I decided to look him over while he was preoccupied with answering more of Leona's questions.

He was ruggedly handsome, that's for sure, his faded black jeans fit him just right. His pitch black hair was disheveled in the most attractive way possible and his perfectly chiseled jawline was enough to make you weak in the knees. His blue-grey eyes were intense yet cold and distant at the same time.

There was something about those eyes though, that seemed off... Almost as if... As if (well this probably isn't going to make much sense) they didn't quite belong on that face of his.

Well that obviously makes no sense at all. Pull yourself together Aves. If it's on his face, they're evidently supposed to be there. Perhaps he was wearing contacts. I mean that could be a possibility, right?

The sound of the school buzzer managed to interrupt my bizzare thoughts. Like why the hell should I care if he's wearing contacts or not.

I looked up to find him, Rylan, looking at me... expectantly?

Have I missed something? Why in the world would he be looking at me expectantly? Was he expecting something from me? Like a bow of courtesy or something? I wouldn't be surprised, especially with the way he introduced himself.

"Uhm..." I turned to Leona with a sheepish smile.

"Geez, you have the attention span of a goldfish Aves" she said with an eye roll.

"You'll have the same schedules, you can lead him to class" she explained briefly.

"We'll catch up at lunch" she said, pulling Luke in the direction of their first period art class.

"I'm ready when you are" He said in a mocking tone.

Oh, just great! I'm stuck with Mr Arrogant.

I gestured for him to follow me, and I made my way to the Bio lab.

The lab was practically empty when we got there, since there was another ten minutes before the warning bell could sound.

Mr Dickens was at the back, setting up his apparatus no doubt.

I found a seat right at the front, now I obviously wasn't a nerd or anything, I just knew Mr Dickens would be spending most of his time at the back.

What I wasn't expecting was: for Rylan to place his stuff on the desk next to mine.

I looked at him curiously, but I decided to give him the benefit of the doubt. After all he was new here.

I remained standing, while the lab started to fill up.

After greeting Mr Dickens, I could feel something... Or should I say someone, standing awfully close to me.

My back was flush against his torso, I could feel his insanely hot breath on my neck, he lowered his mouth to my ear.

"Thank you for showing me to class, Elora." His charismatic voice sending tingles down my spine, in the most intoxicating way possible.
