Karma's POV:

"I'll take her home."

I bent down and picked her up bridal style, not having much trouble with the small figure.

"Elizabeth, call the police so they can take Asano and his lackeys away." She nodded curtly and pulled out her phone, explaining our location.

"They're on their way." She went inside for a moment and brought some other fellow scientists. "Karma, take her home, we can handle the rest." I nodded and walked to the car.

"Here we are," I had my keys out beforehand so I didn't drop Okuda trying to get them. I pressed the unlock button and opened the door laying her down in the back seat, then closed the door and went to the driver's side and got in. "Glad he didn't get you, Okuda." With that, I started the car and drove off.

Okuda's POV:

I wake up dazed and confused.

What happened? Where am I? Why is it so dark? My eyes fluttered open and I propped myself up with my elbows, seeing a certain redhead asleep in a chair. I looked around the room then tried moving.

Successfully I sat up, but it felt like a bolder had hit my head so I pressed both sides with my hands as the pain slowly cleared up. I took my hands off my head and turned to Karma and started poking him. "Karma... Karma... Karm-" He put his hand over my mouth.

"Shhhh~ I'm trying to sleep~" I took his hand off my mouth and laughed. "Huh?" He looked up and rubbed his eyes, turning on the lamp.

"What happened? I was at work, now I'm here...?" He looked a little shocked for a moment, but his face went stoic once more.

"You were almost kidnapped don't you remember? You must've been drugged."

"Huh? Oh ok- WAIT WHAT?!"" He put his hands on my shoulders.

"God, now I'm even more pissed. I hope he rots in jail."

"Who?"

He sat back down and and looked at me. "Get some more rest, okay? You're gonna need it."

"Stop avoiding my question." I stared back at him sternly. "WHO?!"

He stood, looking at me gravely and started for the door. One handle on the door, he hissed a name.

"Asano."

Liar. That had to be it. No way in hell would Asano do something like that.

"I'm sorry." He exited, closing the door. I don't believe it. No, I won't believe it. I laid down and closed my eyes hoping it wasn't true, that he would come home any minute. It hurt my brain to think about it. Everything slowly turned dark as I drifted off to sleep.

Elizabeth's POV:

The police finally took him and his gang away. "Glad that's over."

"Yep those punks better learn to not mess with us." I glanced over to the short woman who was smiling with her hands in a superhero like pose. I giggled, popping her on the head and headed in.

"Owwwwwwww...- RUDE!" She glared playfully at me, and she wore a frown. "I came to give you a note from the boss."

"Hmm... what is it?" I looked at her with curiosity in my eyes.

"He said you're free to go home early get some rest." Her frown became a smile. I grinned, grateful, and nodded.

"Thank you!" I patted her head and walked to put my stuff up. I walked to my car swinging my keys on my finger. I decided I should probably text Okuda to see how she is.

>>How are you doing?

No response.

>>If there's anything you need just text me

With that I leave her to rest and depart for my house.
