I woke up to the sound of pots, pans, and Tupperware crashing down onto the kitchen floor. I shot up from the bed, rushing to the scene.

"Shi-" I hear a string of curses and feet shuffling, followed by metal being shoved back into the cabinet. Peering into the kitchen, I see Karma hunched over trying to put away the mess he's created.

"..."

I remain silent, but somehow he still senses me and turns around.

"I see you're enjoying the view~?" He laughs mischievously. I shake my head vigorously to reassure him that wasn't what I meant.

"N-no!! I was just seeing what happened!" He chuckled and stood up straight, then sauntered over to me. I was still in yesterday's clothing- guess I was too tired to change. Karma, however, was already dressed to go out.

"Anyways, get showed and dressed, you remember what we're doing today?"

I ponder over my thoughts and scavenge for the answer. Then I remember that I wanted to check on Asano for some reason... I don't remember why exactly, but I know he's my friend. The hesitation in Karma's voice tells me he knows something I don't.

"Karma, what's in the journal you had yesterday?"

He stops dead in his tracks and his face displayed a split second of shock then it was wiped clean of emotion.

"Nothing, just a log. Didn't catch my eye too well."

I decided to ignore that he lied, and not let my anger boil over. Everyone acts like I'm a child! And that I can't handle stupid shit like what's in a dumb book! I release my tenseness into the air and head to the bathroom for a quick shower.

By the time I return, Karma is only messing around on his phone. He looks nervous and on edge, like he's expecting something to happen. Heading out the door, I glance towards Asano's room before shutting it with a feeling of finality.

KARMA:

Before I went to bed last night, I went back into Asano's room, for the last time. I snuck his diary again. I knew there were two pages I still haven't gone over. A slight idea of what might be on one of the pages in there was forming in my head, and when I scanned over it, my prediction was correct.

Diary,
I hope he still remembers the compact we made. It was quite a few years ago, but we agreed that if neither of us, or her, specifically, are married by the age of 25, one of us will be allowed to marry Okuda for ourselves. she'll choose who she wants to have as hers. I know that she'll turn to me. I've been friends with her longer than that tomatohead, and if she doesn't, I'll get my way in the end.
