Near x Reader: "Like us?"

*** I haven't gotten any requests, but I know I did a Near x Reader for the first chapter, but Near and L are my favorites so deal with it 😂

Oh, and there are is a little Mello and Matt action so... ***

~ Your point of view ~

"Truth or dare?" Matt's eyes looked up from his games as stared into mine.

I sighed deeply and looked over at Near who was playing with his toy robots, "Truth."

"You have said 'truth' the last three times, you can't say it again." Matt rolled his eyes.

"Then why did you give the option of choosing truth?" I watched as Mello held the chocolate bar in his right hand, outlining his lips with melted chocolate as if it were lipstick, "Mello, what are you doing?"

Mello's eyes shot up and he covered his mouth his hand, "Nothing..."

"Whatever, it's your turn for a dare!" Matt shook his head slightly while watching Mello's attempt to hide his shame.

"Fine, dare." I huffed and crossed my arms.

"I dare you to kiss... Near." Matt grinned like a manic. Matt was my figurative brother here at Wammy's House, we knew everything about each other, he especially knows about my tiny crush on the boy who ranks first.

As Matt said his name, Near froze. The robots stopped battling. All he could do was just stare at the ground.

I got up and sat over by Near. I leaned in quickly and pecked his cheek, him being as stiff as the robots in his hands.

"That doesn't count, a kiss on lips." Matt rolled his eyes and pointed to his mouth.

"You never specified." I replied.

"It was implied," He raised his left eyebrow, "and, no quick peck either! Five seconds, minimum."

"Pervert." I squinted my eyes at him.

"Am not." He placed his hands on hips.

"Are too." I retorted back.

"Am not!" He started yelling.

"Are-" I was cut off by Near placing his left hand on my cheek and his lips crashing on mine. His lips were soft and slightly chapped. I was too nervous to move, I stared into his closed eyelids for the first few seconds before quickly closing mine and kissing him back. He pulled away at exactly five seconds, his face slightly flustered.

"Did that just happen?" Mello asked, causing sending more awkwardness into the air.

"It did, but I don't believe it." Matt answered, causing Near and I's cheeks to brighten with a tint of rose.

"She did the dare, move on from it now." Near said quietly as he tried to hide his embarrassment.

"O-okay, (Y/a/n), it's your turn to ask me." Mello asked, still shocked at the performance he just saw.

"Truth or dare?" I asked him, knowing he always picks dare.

"Dare." He replied somewhat confident.

"I dare you to kiss Matt." I responded, slightly smirking as Matt shot me a death glare.

"What? No way!" Mello shouted, his face instantly turing pink.

"No quick peck either! Five seconds minimum." I mimicked Matt, and saw his face was heating up as well. Matt was my figurative brother here at Wammy's House, we knew everything about each other, I especially know about his tiny crush on the chocolate addict.

"Fine, but only because you dare me to." Mello mumbled and faced Matt. He leaned in and both of their lips touched.

I didn't want to invade their privacy, so I looked at Near who began playing with robots again. I counted to five and saw that Near did as well. At exactly five seconds Near made eye contact with me as I slowly turned my head around.

The two of them were starting to make out, their hands running through each other's hair. I quickly turned back around to face Near and pointed tor the door behind him.  He nodded and picked up his robots. We quietly walked over towards the door, silently opening and closing it behind us.

Near jerked his head towards his room, so I followed him. Once we were inside, he sat himself on the floor and held one of the robots out to me. I pulled the plastic toy out of his hands and sat down a few inches in front of him.

"There was 76% chance that would react that way." Near said simply as he made his robot punch mine in the face.

"I figured as much, they are oblivious to each other's feelings because they try to hide them." I made my robot act as if it was hit, but made one of the legs sweep Near's robot's legs from underneath him.

"Like us?" Near said quietly as he lay down the robot after the move mine pulled.

I looked up slowly and saw him already staring at me. He gently pulled the robot out of my hands and set it down next to the other one. He hesitantly leaned forward, giving me to time to pull away if I wanted to, which I didn't do. Instead, I found myself leaning in as well.

Our lips moved in sync as I scooted closer to him, shoving the robots out of the space. It was soft and passionate, neither of us wanted to pull away.

"Hey, you left-woah." Matt's voice rang through the air as he opened the door. Quickly, we pulled away and looked at the two boys.

"Twice in one night? Matt, we must be in a parallel universe!" Mello exclaimed.

"How was your make out session, boys?" I taunted them as both of their faces grew extremely red.

"That is none of your business!" Matt said quickly before shutting the door, leaving Near and I alone again.

I could see the tiniest hint of a smirk on Near's lips as left, he handed picked up the robots and handed one to me. I slid back a few inches leaving room for our robots battle.

***A/n - Sorry this was really short and really stupid but oh well, I wrote the majority of this at 3 AM so...
