There's a monster in my head
Filling me with dread
A grief so deep
Veins cannot compete
And during the darkest nights
Is when I lose the fight
The will to live
No longer sits within
Oh however many days
Will it take to regain
The happiness I once felt?
How long will it take for this icy grip to melt?
There's a monster in my head
It sleeps in my bed
Day in day out
It is all around
But my screams are only a silent sound
