Chapter 34:

Lucy's P.O.V:

It has been two hours since I first got to the hospital. I am sitting on the other side of the waiting room from my daughter. Olivia, Tony, and Dylan are sitting next to me. I know my daughter doesn't want me here but I don't care. I'm not here for her I'm here for Zane. If Zane makes it through then I will never leave her. She was right when she said I should care about my happiness more then my daughter's. I was with Zane before Montana was anyways.

The doctor comes out and walks up to Montana. Olivia walks over to them. The doctor talks for a little bit and then walks away. Olivia walks back over to us. She says, " The doctor said that Zane made it through. She isn't out of the woods yet though. Apparently she hit her head in the crash and she may not remember anything, or she may only remember her past. They won't know until she wakes up. Other then that everything is fine."

" Why isn't she out of the woods yet then?" Tony ask.

" Because with her hitting her head her brain may swell." Olivia says.

We all nod. This is so scary I can't wait until she is awake. A part of me only wishes that she remembers her past that she spent with me.

An hour later the nurse let's everyone know that Zane is awake and that four people can go back. It is decided that the four will be Montana, Zane's mom and momma, and Olivia.

They walk back and I wish I was in that group. Tony and Dylan grab both of my hands and tell me that it will be ok. I nod but don't believe them. Resse walks in and ask what I am doing here. I tell him about Zane. He says, " I know about Zane but that still doesn't answer why you are here."

Dylan says, " You know that they are still in love big brother so just leave it alone."

" I can't just leave it alone. Unlike you two I actually care about Montana and I don't want her getting hurt."

" What about me getting hurt brother?" I ask.

" You had your time with Zane but you let her go and be with Montana. You need to honor that. Tammy will be here soon and you know she won't be to happy about all of this."

" I don't care if Tammy is happy with this or not. This isn't your guys life."

Montana runs out crying. She runs to Resse who wraps her in a hug. Olivia walks out and says, " Lucy please come with me."

I get up and walk back with her. We stop outside of a room and she looks at me. " Montana was upset because Zane didn't really remember her. She remember everyone else though. We are hoping she remembers you too."

I nod before I walk in. Zane looks up and a small smile comes across her face. She says, " You a pretty but do I know you?"

My heart falls to the ground. I say, " I'm your girlfriend."

" That is weird because the girl who just left the room said that she was my wife. I must be a player."

At any other time I may of found that funny but right now I don't. I say, " You really don't remember me?"

" No I'm sorry I don't."

I start to cry and I don't want her seeing me crying so I walk out of the room. Olivia follows me trying to tell me that everything will be ok but how will it be.
