Yousef's pov:
The night was amazing , during it I couldn't help myself but look at Lilly and think that she truly was a blessing because now I remembered what I did to be with her I truly did the unimaginable ... Yes I did remember everything now , my depression , my medication , my addiction ...
To be a better man , a man "worthy" of a relationship I had managed to stop it I wasn't an addict anymore , after that night at the beach , I had thrown it all away , I decided to put a stop to it and I succeeded. I was clean, and happy with myself.
But now , because of the accident I was back at square one , with the same medicament that I struggled to stop in my hand right now, as I was about to take it
Oxycontin painkillers, I took them for 3 months without knowing that they were my worst enemy and now my body was screaming at me to take them because of how used to it , I was.
Drinking my meds, a wave of shame filled me ... I couldn't stand myself for doing it again. That's when someone was knocking on my door
Wanting to just lay in mY bed and not wake up again , I ignored the knocking and went straight to my room.
Putting my headphones on , I closed my eyes and tried to sleep
Alex's pov:
I've been knocking at Yousef's door for the past ten minutes, scared for him I had no other choice but to open his door with a set of key his mother gave me just in case.
The appartement was calm, no one seemed to be here , but I knew from the half empty glass on the counter that he was there.
I went downstair and straight to his room , that's when I saw him on his bed , headphones on.
He was sleeping , that's why he did not answer me, I decided to let him sleep and turned back to leave.
Yousef's pov:
The music had stopped , and my thoughts were interrupted by some noise. Someone got into my house and was just next to my bed now , hearing more steps I turned to see that , this person was now leaving my room.
"Bruh , you really are creepy"
Hearing me talk , made Alex jump ,apparently I had just scared him
"What , scared already, come on you got me used to better than that"
"Yo you scared me Fousey , how are you doing ?"
"I'm fine, but I'm the one who should be asking questions , how did you get in my room ?"
"Well , your mom she gave me extra keys just in case, but since you seem to be doing just fine scaring people off like you use to, I can give them back to you"
"Ok , I see and you know what ?! keep them..."
No ones pov:
Something was going on in Yousef's head now that Alex was here he didn't want to spend all of his day sleeping anymore... even though his old habits were hard to let go of he had to give it a try ... again.
A week later:
Lilly hasn't been in LA for the past week , since the night Yousef remembered he didn't see her again , and he was kinda glad , because he sure did not want her to see him that way. Even though he got out with Alex , he still felt bad for his addiction and he also knew that his depression wasn't far.
This couldn't stay on forever ,Lilly didn't have to deal with his problems and Yousef had to make a decision before they saw each other again.

So yeah about his addiction , he never said what it was and well I had to make a choice . I know that in the US a lot of people are addicted to pain killers so it seemed to be the best option for me. If you're dealing with the same problem , and that I don't know it triggers something in you don't worry I won't talk about it more in details . I will just evoke the need to put an end to it.
