The Facts (A Yoully story)

Stronger

" So many things have been done now all that was left for them is to never be alone again"

Getting out of a building , a Yousef 2.0 was there , the rehab was the best choice he has ever made. Now he was proud to say that he truly was a free man. Taking a breath he began walking towards another part of his life where he would be much happier.

Lilly's pov: 

The woman standing in front of me was interviewing me for what felt like hours , I was so tired today and this lady kept asking me questions that had no concern at all with what I was here for 

"So , I heard one of your close friend Yousef Erakat is getting out of rehab today ? What do you think about his career getting troubled by his addiction , did it hurt you to know that he was an addict ?"

Giiiirl that was it , I couldn't handle this woman anymore 

"Ok, listen Yousef is getting out of rehab today , and his career is not at all affected by his addiction neither is our relation. For him to get into rehab prove that he is very strong and that he is not one that will let go quickly of the things he cares about. As for me I'm very proud of him but I'll have a question for you , When are you going to ask me about my show , I'm here for that no ? "

After the interview and the rehearsal that followed it, I went back to my hotel room. Today , Yousef would get out of rehab , I was so proud of him for battling his inner demons . Sadly I couldn't be there to welcome him  , I had a show in New York and then I had to go to Toronto for my last show of the  tour.

But nonetheless I won't let that go unnoticed , as soon as I entered my room I took my phone and dialed his number. 

Yousef's pov:

I got home rather quickly , and I still hasn't seen or talked to anyone, that's when my phone rang seeing who it was my heart skipped a bit. Yes I was ready to turn the page and live a new life without an addiction but could I talk to her this soon ? I made her wait 2 months maybe she changed her mind and doesn't want to be with me anymore and although it hurts I'll understand that completely... My thoughts running out of control , I couldn't bring myself to answer....

Lilly's pov :

He didn't answer me ... Weird , maybe he didn't see his phone ringing . Yah that must be it , I'll try calling him later after my show.

A few hours later 

After my show I tried calling him again on my way to the airport and he still didn't answer me , not wanting to stress too much over it . I tried to push all the negatives thoughts in the back of my mind and decided to wait until tomorrow to see what the matter was.

Yousef's pov:

I had received another call from her , and I didn't answer it. Man I was so scared of what she would say to me. Alex was on his way to mine , I was happy that I would get to see him because I really needed too talk to a friend right now. Soon I heard him knock on my door and hurried to open the door.

"Hey man , I'm so proud of you , you did it bruh ! "

"Thanks man , it's nice to hear you say that"

"Well that's what friends are for and I AM proud of you, I mean everyone is, your act created a whole debate on painkillers , a lot of people confessed being addicts , and all of them created an association to sue the medical company that produced these med's. You made things change !"

"Wow I didn't know that all of that happened , I think that I will try to join their fight as soon as I'm done with some stuff that I have to solve right now"

"Oh I see , is that stuff includes Lilly"

Hearing her name I immediately looked up 

"Did she talk about me ?"

"Yeah all the time man , even if she didn't say it , we all knew she was missing you like crazy. I'm sure it's probably the first person you've talked to since you got out of rehab no ?"

"Uh... Well, I kind of not answered her.."

"What , don't tell me you did this ! Man you can't doubt her love for you ! I mean she loves you bruh , you should see how she talks about you . You have to talk to her ok ?"

"Ok"

The next words that got out of his mouth I didn't hear , I was struck , did he say that she loved me ? Yeah its what he said but , did he hear her say it ? I sure haven't ... even if that doesn't mean that she is not in love with me , not hearing her say it yet was making me a slight insecure about our relation. Hearing that she kept talking about me , and missed me made me feel so much regret that I quickly forgot about that .

A wave of regret hit me , I felt so bad for not answering her phone calls, I had to make things right. It's not me to do things like that , I know it , I'm not someone who will avoid his problems , I fought my addiction , I now had to fight my negatives thoughts like I always did.

No one's pov:

Yousef already got an idea of how he was about to face this situation , planning things with Alex he now knew that all of this struggle had made him stronger , he just had to prove it to the rest of the world and mostly to Lilly.
