Chapter 07| "IT'S THE FIRST DAY OF CLASS, and you're already late?" The teacher spoke as I entered the room.
Suddenly everyone's attention turned towards me. "Great, way to make yourself noticeable." I grumbled before scanning the room for a spare seat.
"I'm sorry, I'm late." I mumbled whilst awkwardly remaining stood at the door.
"Take a seat." The teacher spoke. "I won't be repeating the lecture again, so just copy notes off of whoever you sit next to." She demanded and I nodded before making my way up the aisle.
I eventually found a seat beside a girl and a guy, that looked somewhat alike.
"She's not always like this, I swear." The girl spoke. Well mumbled towards me trying not to catch the attention of the teacher.
"Is she not?" I asked.
"It's just because you're new and you haven't learnt her rules yet."
"Number one rule," The guy suddenly spoke scaring me in the process. I jumped and placed my hand where my heart was causing him to chuckle before proceeding. "Don't be late."
"And well," The girl glanced at me up and down observing me as if I were some kind of unknown project. "You kinda broke that rule."
"Rule number two, absolutely always bring equipment. A pen at the least." The boy spoke again turning my attention back towards him.
"I don't have a pen." I sheepishly spoke biting my lower lip and looking downwards.
The two of them suddenly shot their hands, that held a pen, out towards me causing me to smile before glancing at the two of them. I rose an eyebrow. "We come prepared." The two of them freakily spoke at the same time.
"I'm Lexi, and this is my brother Leo." The girl introduced herself and her brother.
I smiled at the two of them. "Tia." I spoke before taking a pen. "Thankyou."
"No problem." Leo smiled looking at me.
"You know," Lexi suddenly spoke up smiling as well bringing my attention away from her brorher. "I think we'll get along just fine."
"So, you come in late to my very important class and not only do you interrupt it, you talk throughout it." The teacher stated. Well, practically shouted because she was at the bottom stage thing.
"I didn't-"
"Get out." She stated sharply.
My eyes widened and I looked at Lexi and Leo expecting them to do something. Well, practically anything.
"She wasn't-" Leo stated before immediately shutting up once he met the teacher's narrowed eyes.
"Hurry up!" She exclaimed pointing towards the door. I collected my things. Placing my bag onto my shoulder and my books into my hands against my chest.
I glanced downwards at Lexi. "Yeah, we'll get along just fine." I grumbled narrowing my eyes as she beamed brightly up at me.
