Chapter 18|"I CAN'T BELIEVE IT'S BEEN THREE MONTHS!" My mum exclaimed through the phone. "And you've barely called me!!"

"I'm sorry, mum." I apologized. "I've just kind of been busy." I spoke glancing over where Amelia, Mason and Amelia's Midnight Chatter were all sat conversing, around the table that the board game was placed over.

"Too busy to call your own mother? The woman who gave birth to you?!" She shrieked.

"I said I was sorry!"

"And it's fine. It's alright. How—How are you?"

"I'm fine." I muttered shoving a hand into my pocket and turning my back towards the others. "What—What about you?"

"I've been better." She coughed and my eyebrows furrowed. "I've just missed you so much."

"I missed you too." I spoke feeling my eyes begin to water. "Are you sure you're alright?" I questioned when she coughed into the phone again.

"Yeah, I just—I drank too much last night, and I have a pounding headache."

"You got drunk?"

"It was supposed to be a Girl's Night Out, I got drunk and well—I woke up with a pounding headache and a stranger in my bed."

"Mum!" I exclaimed.

"I know, I know—I kicked him out and took some aspirin."

"Don't you have work today?"

"Day off." She spoke. I nodded.

"Tia!" Amelia exclaimed.

"Well, uh—I gotta go, my roommates calling me to go play this Games Night thing." I spoke. "You'll be here for the Parents Coming to Visit thing, right?"

"Ofcourse." She breathed out. "Ofcourse honey, I wouldn't miss it for the world."

"Okay." I breathed out sighing of relief. "I love you."

"I love you too." Then she hung up. I placed the phone down before wiping my eyes and stalking back towards the living room.

"Finally!" Amelia exclaimed throwing her hands into the air as I approached and took my seat on the ground beside Mason. "Let the games begin!"

"Hey." Mason stated rubbing my shoulder. "Are you alright?" I glanced up at him with a small smile before nodding.

"I'm so going to kick your asses!"

"Not if I kick them first!" Amelia exclaimed before I was thrown into a night of fun, laughter and competition.
