"Ugh" I grunted as my alarm went off, first day of a new school great. I got up, showered and blow dried my hair before doing my makeup. I wore the usual, a little bit of foundation and concealer, some bronzer, highlight, bronzy eyeshadow and mascara. By the time I'd done that I had 30 minutes to leave and 20 until Kylie got here. I wore black denim high-waisted shorts and a light nude coloured top with white vans and a black vans backpack for all of my stuff, just as I finished brushing my teeth Kylie came up to my room.

"Hey your mum let me in" she smiled.

"Oh hey, is what I'm wearing ok?" I asked smiling back.

"Yes omg I love your top, where's it from?" she asked walking in and sitting at my dressing table.

"Do you have Miss Selfridge over here?" I laughed.

"Guess I'm not getting that top then" she sighed.

"I'll take that as a no" I laughed, she just made a pouty face at me.

"You girls ready to go?" my mum shouted from downstairs.

"Yep two seconds" I shouted back. I quickly ran to the kitchen to grab a breakfast bar before going to meet Kylie and my mum in the car. It was about a 10 minute drive from my house, I was so anxious I felt like I was going to be sick.

"Ok if you pull up here" Kylie said to my mum pointing to the side of the road.

"Okie doke, right I'll see you later, have a good day, love you" my mum said as me and Kylie stepped out of the car.

"Thanks mum, love you too" I laughed nervously before she drove away.

"You ready?" Kylie said smiling widely.

"Let's hope" I laughed before we started walking towards the gates.

"We'll go to the guidance councillors office first to get your schedule and things like that" she said before turning the corner to start walking through the car park outside the main entrance. It was only about 30 seconds of walking until people started turning and pointing at 'the new girl' some people were smiling, but others were just staring. We approached the doors and started walking through the long corridor with lockers on each wall, and classrooms all down the sides oh and I forgot to mention about 200 teenagers all watching me.

"Omg I'm dying" I laughed to Kylie.

"What?" she laughed back.

"Everyone is staring at me ah" I couldn't stop laughing its like what I do when I get nervous.

"Don't worry we're nearly at the councillors office" she laughed again.

"It's just round here" she pointed round the corner to the left, she knocked on the door and a woman came and opened the door.

"Hi Kylie how can I help?" she asked smiling, she seemed really nice, she was relatively short (still taller than me) she had short brown hair and brown eyes with glasses she looked around 30.

"Yeah I'm here with Phoebe she needs to pick up her schedule" Kylie smiled back stepping in the room with me following.

"Oh Phoebe of course, welcome to Whitfields, my name is Miss Wickson I'm the guidance councillor here and my door is always open if you ever have any questions, or need to talk something through, or have any kind of problem." She said grabbing my schedule from the printer.

"Now, I know you joined this school at a difficult time of the year with only 2 weeks of school left before summer, but I trust that Kylie will help you with anything you need around the school." she smiled passing me the piece of paper.
