It's been about 3 months of me and Harrison going out a couple times a week and always spending time with each other, we still didn't call it anything and Kylie, Ava and Libbie were the only ones that knew we were getting with each other. Although that said I'm sure James must know seeing as him and Libbie are official now and James is friends with Harrison anyway. It was coming up to Christmas and Ava was having a thing at her house, it wasn't really fair to call it a party because it was only about 15 of us. I'd been keeping in touch with Rosie the whole time of being here I spoke to her most days, and we'd keep each other up to date with whats happening both home and here. She was one of the few people I spoke to when me and Grayson first broke up. I missed her, Elle and Bella too, so much it felt like years since I'd last seen them.

"Merry Friday" Ava said coming in late and sitting down next to me in maths.

"Ava why are you late, again?" our teacher said rolling his eyes.

"Sorry Sir! There was... uh...  traffic!" She replied sitting down.

"Was there actually traffic?" I asked her once she'd got her books out.

"There was traffic at the drive thru" she said handing me a starbucks.

"Aw you're so cute, love you" I smiled grabbing the coffee and putting it by my foot so that the teacher wouldn't see.

"Love you too, you'll be needing this to stay up tonight at mine" she said nudging me.

"Yeah what time should I come round?" I asked her taking a sip from the coffee.

"Come round before and get ready at mine, so like 5?" she asked.

"Perfect." I smiled.

After school I went back home and showered put on some fake tan and dried my hair, I also did my homework which is rare, I usually do it right before the lesson or in the morning or something.

It was 4:45 now and I was just about to drive to Ava's and Harrison and his friends so basically the entire football team drove past in James' truck and pulled up outside my house, and Harrison came to the door.

"Hey" I said opening the door trying my best to ignore the guys shouting 'hey are you gonna bone tonight' and 'when's your girl gonna put out' guess that means they know now.

"Hey we were driving through and I was just thought I'd check that you're going tonight? Sorry about them"

"Yeah I'm going tonight I was just about to go to Ava's" I replied.

"Like that?" he asked looking me up and down, I'd forgotten that I was just wearing a grey oversized top and grey shorts with flip flops and no makeup.

"Did I say go to Ava's I meant to say I was meeting my fairy god mother and the pumpkin"

"Ohh she's funny to?" he asked sarcastically.

"What can I say, I'm a catch" I joked.

"Very true, I'll see you tonight yeah?"

"See you then" I said closing the door as he walked away.

About 5 minutes later I went to Ava's and we got ready I was just wearing a black dress and heels, Ava was wearing dark purple, Libbie was in red and Kylie was in navy blue. We spent about an hour getting the drinks ready and hiding Ava's parents' expensive wine and paintings and then started on the pre drinks, we didn't have much because we didn't want to be throwing up before 8 o'clock. People started arriving and we were all dancing and having fun, I settled into LA now it was finally starting to feel like home. Harrison and the rest of the guys arrived at about 9 and I was already a bit of a state because I'm a complete lightweight. I would've thought he'd come over but he didn't he stayed with the guys most of the night giving me the occasional glance, it was about 11 when he finally came over and said something.

"Hey Ava great party" his breath stank.

"I'm not Ava" I replied kind of irritated that it took him until now to come over.

"Shit sorry Phoeb" he replied a bit less sloppy.

We talked for about 15 minutes and he started to sober up a bit and then one thing led to another and we were making out upstairs in the hallway, I didn't really want to be though because his breath was so awful.

He started trying to grab my boob but he was drunk and he just ended up grabbing my rib, he was kissing my neck and pushing me against the wall and my shoulder was right on a light switch which was just uncomfortable.

"Ok Harrison stop" I said as he tried to lift my dress.

"Shh babe it's ok" he replied continuing.

"Harrison get off" I said a getting pissed off now.

"What? What did you think was going to happen?" he asked breathing down my neck still.

"Harrison I'm not going to have sex with you" I said trying to push him off me.

"Come on babe not like it's your first time" he whispered into my ear.

"Harrison get off me" I said trying to get out from between his arms.

"Babe it'll be fun I promise, I'll be better than he ever was" he said but more forcefully he was pushing me against the wall so I could hardly move,my heart was racing he was terrifying I'd never seen him like this, he was like a whole other person.

"I said no" I shouted shoving him off of me and successfully this time.

"Prude" he shouted back as I started walking quickly to the stairs. I had had a couple of drinks and  everything felt like it was moving ten times faster than usual. I grabbed my jacket and started going for the door, I texted Ava to tell her thanks for having me and I was sorry to leave early but something came up. I walked through the kitchen with my head down, and went out the door accidentally slamming it behind me. I got in my car and drove in a straight line until I was out of the neighbourhood and somewhere as quiet as it gets for LA. I hadn't cried before now but my eyes were streaming, I sat there for about 5 minutes just a wreck. I finally pulled myself together still not entirely sure why my emotions were so heightened, yes Harrison turned out to be a completely different person than what I'd thought, but that wasn't it.

Then I realised, I looked at the dashboard of the car and saw the date the 13th of December. It was the day that a year ago I'd been counting down to and I'd been so happy and excited, the day my dreams came true, the day I met Grayson. But now it's all gone shattered into a thousand pieces that I can't fit back together. I felt empty and robbed but I had myself to blame.

I started driving again for once there was no traffic I drove around for miles and then I recognised something. I didn't know how I got there but I knew I'd been there, the memories came flooding back, it's where Grayson brought me for my birthday. I stopped the car dead and just stared for a moment before someone beeped their car horn at me making me drive on. I continued driving but it felt wrong, Grayson had always taken me to special places but nothing ever compared to that day it was perfect, maybe even better. I turned the car around as soon as I had an opportunity and parked the car in the little car park area by the beach looking at the spot where we had been. I sat there again for a moment tears welling in my eyes once more. I got out and walked to where the deckchairs once were and I stayed there watching the moon and listening to the waves. I had been there for a while just thinking I had the urge to text him but I ignored it and pushed it away, he'd moved on.

"Phoebe?" I heard from a few metres behind me in an all too familiar voice.

"Grayson?" I said quietly to myself turning around to see him standing there.

"I'm so sorry" he said coming over and grabbing my hands.

"No I'm sorry, I never stopped loving you Grayson, not for a second. I never should have let you go." I said looking into his eyes.

"I love you too" he replied kissing me and holding me like he used to.

"What's wrong?" he asked as he pulled away and saw I'd been crying.

"Nothing's wrong anymore, not a thing" I said smiling and kissing him again with my hands behind his head.
