This is it.

It's over, our time is up.

Everyday we had known each other was playing over and over in my head all night, every single memory, every funny expression, every weird joke and every perfect second we spent together.

Me and Gray spent our last night at the ice-skating rink we went to on our first date. It was everything I'd hoped for and more but the thought of him leaving broke my heart.

"Why do you have to leave?" I said waking him up fully knowing the answer.

"I dont want to go but I have to see my family and friends" he replied putting his arm around my waist drawing me closer.

"What's going to happen to us?" I said trying not to get too upset.

"I'm not leaving you for anything, I don't care where we are, I'm not prepared to lose you" he reassured me.

"I love you Grayson Dolan"

"I love you too and that's never going to change."

I helped him pack up all of his stuff, and then we made pancakes for breakfast which got very messy very quickly. After that we went for a 'walk' before my mum took us to the airport.

"Right, are you sure you have everything you need?" my mum asked.

"Yes ma'am" he said saluting her, making us all laugh a little.

I went into the airport with Grayson so that I could see him off.

"I'm going to miss you so much" I said, tears beginning to gather in my eyes, he pulled me into a hug not saying a word, when we pulled apart I could see the sadness on his face.

"You better come visit me" he said as the a tear ran down my cheek.

"We'll see each other soon, we have to , I wont have it any other way" he said wiping away the tear. I knew my parents would never let me go to LA on my own, he'd say oh it's just a kiddy relationship it won't last, when this is the most real, permanent thing I'd ever felt.

"My flights boarding in a minute. I love you so much"

"I love you too" I said wrapping my arms around his waist for what could have been the last time.

"I dont know when I'll next be able to do this" he said as our lips collided passionately.

"Goodbye" I said into his neck burying my head I could hear his heart beating, it was so fast. He sighed  shakily before continuing

"Don't say that, it can't be goodbye, we are not over." he replied.

"how do I do this without you" I said crying.

"I'm not gone Phoebe I'm here whenever you need me I'm just a bit further away"

The tannoy came on

"Flight 306 to LAX now boarding"

"I'll see you soon ok?" he whispered before kissing me one last time.

"I'll see you soon" i said as he pulled away.

I watched him as he turned around and walked over to the gate.

"It's not goodbye!" he shouted back as he was going through the exit.

"It's not goodbye" I whispered back to myself as I wiped away a tear seeing him go around the corner.

I went to the toilets to clean up my face and then I sat in the back seat and went home I spent the drive looking through all of my photos from when we'd been together. For the next month and a half, I was almost always on the phone to Grayson despite the time difference, we would honestly talk about the weirdest, most random things literally anything that pops into our heads. It was my birthday the next day, I hadn't asked for anything because the one thing I wanted I knew I couldn't have. There were only cards and a couple of packages, so I assumed it was mostly money and a few little things. I wasn't that excited, I didn't really get hugely excited without Grayson here, it all seemed pretty dull, everything was just boring.
