It's been three weeks now and I still haven't heard from Grayson at this point I've just given up waiting, I was finally getting over it.

The past week me and Harrison had been flirting a bit, what started as him comforting me after Grayson saying things like "any guy would be lucky to have a girl like you" turned into "If I ever had you I'd never let you go" and kind of hinting that he wanted 'us' to happen and when we were around each other we'd be hugging, or he'd have his hand on my leg, or his arm would be around me, or something like that and we'd started hanging out outside of school a lot more.

"Pheobs wake up sweetie it's 11 o'clock" my dad said nudging me on the shoulder.

I grunted and rolled over in my bed.

"Smile, it's the weekend" he said standing up and grabbing the empty water glass off of my bedside table and taking it downstairs.

After a minute or so of letting my eyes adjust to the light I grabbed my phone and checked my messages. I still slightly hoped I'd see Grayson's name pop up on my snapchat but I knew it wouldn't happen, he's probably got a new girl already, a guy that looks like him doesn't ever have to be single he probably has a queue of girls in his messages.

Harrison: Hey, do you have any plans today?

Me: Not that I know of yet, why?

Harrison: Fancy going for dinner and a movie?

Me: Yeah sure what are we watching?

Harrison: I'm thinking horror

Me: I'm thinking not, I can't do horror

Harrison: Aw you're scared how cute, horror it is. I'll pick you up at 7 xx

Me: See you then xx

I straight away I called Kylie I was confused what just happened.

"Hello?" Kylie said down the line

"I'm so confused" I replied.

"Whats up buttercup?"

"Ok, so, basically I think I might have a date with Harrison tonight."

"Ohmygodohmygodohmygod where are you going" she said so fast I could barely understand

"Dinner and a movie, but heres why I'm confused"

"continue" she said.

"We've been to the movies a few times and we've always been just friends" I replied.

"No omg like I've been telling you, he's had crush on you for ages, he was never just fiends only you were because you were in a relationship" she said rushing her words again

"I guess"

"And trust me 'dinner and a movie' in american translates to 'date' you should know that by now, you're almost one of the natives, you've lived here for like 6 months"

"I know its crazy is it just me or does it feel like way less than that? but at the same time like I've been here my whole life, I swear my brain can't decide it's so weird"

"I know what you mean like me and Jake broke up 3 months ago but in my brain it still seems like two weeks"

"Have you guys spoken since?" I asked

"Barely, I mean we only dated for like 2 months so it never got that serious, have you spoken to Grayson by the way?"

"nope" I sighed

"Aw I'm sorry Phoeb, but hey what time are you seeing Harrison?" she said changing the subject

"7ish"

"Do you want me to come round and help you get ready?"

"Omg yes you don't have a grey dress I could borrow do you?" I asked

"Yes I have the perfect one it'll look amazing on you I can get to your house for about 1 is that ok?"

"Sounds good I'll see you then"

"byee" she said dragging out the vowels

"bye" I said just before she hung up.
