Chapter 10

-5 month later

-Jamal

Everything has been going so good these past months. Shawn and I are the way we use to be, but he still doesn't know about James and I.

I'll tell him soon, but I just feel like he would be mad because him and James got into it the first time they met.

Once he gets to know James he'll really like him. So I'm not really worried about it.

I'm cleaning my condo and listening to some music, and all of a sudden someone knocks on my door.

I paused my music, and went to open the door.

"Shawn, what are you doing here?" I said surprised.

"I just stopped by to check up on you" he hugged me.

"Thanks"

I walked back in the kitchen and sat on the island. While Shawn stood across from me.

"So what's up?" I asked as I grabbed an apple from the fruit basket.

"Nothing really, you know Dana is almost due to have the baby."

"7 months right?" I asked him, but I felt a little hurt when he said it for some reason.

"Yeah, we're planning a baby shower next month, and I really would like it if you can come." He said while playing with his fingers.

"Ummm, sure why not."

"Thank you, I really appreciate it." He hugged me, but the position we was in was turning me on.

He looked me in the eye, then glanced at my lips. He started to lean forward as much as I wanted to do it I had to stop him.

"Shawn I can't, I'm sorry." I grabbed his hands.

"I understand." Hurt was written all over his face.

"Shawn it's not that I don't want to, it's cause I have a boyfriend." I explained to him.

"Wait what!!"

" Yeah, I forgot to tell you I'm sorry."

" It's all good, so who is this lucky guy?" He said going to the fridge.

Shit I thought to myself.

"James."

He dropped the bottle of water and turned to me real fast.

"WTF, out of all people why him!?" He came back to me.

"See, if you get to know him he's really a good guy" I tried explaining.

"No there's something fishy about him, I don't trust him at all and I honestly think you can do better."

" Well it's not your choice Shawn so thanks for your opinion but I really do like him." I got off the counter, and started to head towards my room.

" OK do whatever you want." He said as he followed me in my room.

"That's exactly what I'll do."

"Fine"

"Fine" I said then grabbed my towel.

I went in the bathroom then closed and locked the door, I took a long nice shower, then got out.

When I got out I heard the TV in the living room playing so I knew Shawn was still here.

I went in my closet grabbed all the stuff I needed then got ready for the day.
