Chapter 17

Shawn

  My life has been great , I'm currently at work right now and I have a meeting in like 10 minutes with a new client. Her name looks so familiar but I can't recall anything.

  I walked down the hall into the meeting office to get ready, as I was sitting down someone came in, I looked up and my world seemed to have froze. It was her.

  "Shawn, what a coincidence" unknown said.

  "Rebecca from 10th grade. " I remembered her now she was the girl that I dumped for my baby's mother.

  "I'm surprised you remember my name but anyways let's get down to business." She said as she walked to a chair.

  About an hour passed and that's all we talked about, business. I'm not going to lie she looks amazing.

  "Alright thank you for your time Shawn you'll be getting a call from me shortly."

" Wait how about we go out for a drink later to catch up on old time" I offered her.

   "Sure I'll text you later with the information."

  "Alright see you later Rebecca."

   "Bye Shawn." And with that she left.

  I grabbed all my stuff then started to think about how I wanted to smash her all on this table throughout the meeting. Then I thou-

  My phone interrupted my thoughts.

  "Hello" I answered, without looking at the caller ID.

" Hey baby, I miss you" shit I forgot all about Jamal.

  "Hey baby, I miss you too"

  "Your so cute, but I was calling to tell you that I have to go to one of my businesses to manage some paper works, so are you going to be home."

  Fuckkkk "umm no I'll be coming home late today I have lots of work to do here at the office s-" he interrupted me.

" It's fine I'll call my sister to watch the kids, but why can't you bring the work home?"

  "Because baby I'll be so distracted and I don't want to make any mistakes on this project my love"

   "Wow, anyways I'll see you later then bye"

  "I love you"

  " I love you too baby daddy."

" Jamal you do not want these problems stop playing" I busted out laughing.

  "Bye" he said while laughing then hung up.

Several minutes later Rebecca sent me the address to the restaurant that we would be meeting at.

-Later that night

  Jamal

  I left the house and went to the restaurant on the far end of town cause I haven't been there in a while and I know I need to check up on management, so I decided to too.

  It was around 6 when I arrived and when I got their I went to the back and got to work.

  I was so into my work that I lost track of time it was now 8:30 and I knew around this time it would be very busy so I finished up my work got cleaned up and dressed up as a waiter to help out.

  I went out and started to take orders from different tables.

  After a few minutes I went to a new table of what seemed to be a couple from a far. I started to head to the table and the couple seemed so familiar, as I approached closer to the table I felt my heart sink, it was no fucking couple it was Shawn and some bitch.

  "Real fucking cute" I said as soon as I got to the table.

  "Excuse me?" The girl looked at me with a bewildered look.

  "Oh shit Jamal loo-"

  "Shawn shut the fuck up I'm trying to remain calm for the both of us cause I don't want to cause a fucking commotion in here, so I'm going to have someone take your orders and make sure after your dinner don't call, text or either come home cause I will fuck you up."

I walked away and Shawn grabbed my arm.

  "Shawn please let me go I'm really trying to remain calm, I will rock your shit so let me go." I yanked my arm away from him and went in the back.

After I took these clothes off and changed I grabbed my keys and left.

  I arrived home and took a nice shower and thanked my sister for watching the kids, after that I called a company to come change the door knobs in the garage, back, and front door of the house.

  Then I fed the babies, cleaned them up and put them asleep in my room.

  I then turned my phone off cause it kept on blowing up then I attempted fall asleep but I couldn't cause I kept crying.

  I hate dudes like why did you have to lie, we was so good like why, I can never be happy, everytime I'm happy something stupid always happens.

  I finally fell asleep listening to Jhene Aiko, and the last words that I heard was.

  "Why would you call this love if you knew that it wasn't."
