The next morning, Erza was as tired as ever. All her close friends were in every class except this one so she was stuck with Siegrain and Simon. It wasn't that Simon didn't count as a friend, but she just didn't want to deal with the stress of telling him how she felt. She had to sort that out first.

As Siegrain entered the classroom, she felt his eyes burn into her skull. The azure haired boy quickly strode over to her and slammed his hands on her desk. That gave him the attention he had wanted from her. The classroom was noisy so nobody except Erza was surprised by the sudden noise.

"What do you want, Sieg- Jellal?" Her eyes widened in bewilderment at the scar on his neck.

"Oh, you noticed?" He smirked and leaned in closer to her ear. "You didn't tell anybody about us, right?"

Erza felt a shiver go down her spine from the sudden approximation. "W-What do you mean, us?" She cursed herself for stumbling on her words.

Jellal chuckled, and Erza had to admit it was quite charming. "Good, good," he murmured and took a seat beside her. Erza wasn't even sure that "Siegrain" was supposed to sit next to her, but she didn't bother asking.

Mr.Happy entered the room and Erza thanked Mavis for his brilliant timing. She didn't want to continue the conversation with Jellal for the sake of her embarrassment.

"Good Morning," Mr.Happy called out. "Today, we will be studying FISH!"

Everyone raised their eyebrows at how suspiciously happy their teacher looked. "I will be assigning you partners, so when I call your name, please sit with your given classmate."

Mr.Happy than began to call out partners;

"Simon and Lyon, Elfman and Droy, Jet and Arana, Siegrain and Beth,..." Erza sighed in relief. She was not with either of the two. She was totally fine with anyone being her partner now. "Finally, Erza and Ichiya."

Erza's jaw dropped. No way. She immediately stood up and ran towards Mr.Happy.

"PLEASE! ANYBODY BUT HIM!"

"Meeeeeen," a voice sounded behind her and Erza felt all her hairs stand up on end. Mr.Happy shrugged his shoulders.

"Sorry, I can't change the partners," he retaliated mockingly. "If I let you change, it would be unfair for the others." With a sweet smile, Mr.Happy began giggling, and Erza had to bite back the urge to slap him across the face.

"Okay, lets just get this over with- AAAH!" She yelped when realizing that he was smelling her hair. She grabbed a nearby ruler measuring about a meter (about one yard) and pushed him away with it. "Don't even touch me!"

Ichiya tried to push the ruler away, but she kept poking him away. "But your parfum is so nice! Meeeeen!"

Mr.Happy continued laughing at the red-head's troubled state. And just when she was about to hit the ruler against the teacher's face, Simon stood up from his seat. His chair made a loud screeching sound and it drove the classroom silent.

"Leave her alone," he spat. Lyon, who was Simon's partner, sat smirking and glanced between the two.

"Well, you have a nasty parfum," Ichiya grumbled while crossing his arms.

"What was that?" Simon paced over to Ichiya and picked him up by the collar of his shirt.

"I said your parfum reeks. I don't like you," Ichiya taunted.

Simon forcefully dropped Ichiya, who made a loud 'oof' when he landed. "At least I'm not a creep like you," Simon countered.

The classroom was filled momentarily with 'OOOOH's.

"Gentlemen, gentlemen, let's not kill each other in the classroom," Jellal cut in. "If you really are men, you'll finish things outside, hmmm?"

Simon glared at Jellal. "This is none of your buisness," he hissed.

"Oh, it is when it comes to my Erza," he smirked. This earned a few gasps from the class and a glare from Erza. Jellal wrapped his arms around her from behind. She squirmed from the sudden decrease in personal space and Simon quickly took notice this.

"J-Siegr-"

"Leave her alone," Simon cut off Erza.

"Oh, but you're not her boyfriend." Jellal slyly replied.

Simon narrowed his eyes and clenched his fists. "Well I don't force girls into relationships."

Jellal's eyebrows quirked up. "Oh?"

"Boys, cut it out," Erza snapped, but the two of them ignored her.

"Just leave her alone."

"What if I don't want to?"

"Well, I think I might have to beat some sense-"

"BOYS!" Erza yelled. She pushed herself out of Jellal's arms and glared at him. "First off, I'm not your property. Second of all," she turned to Simon, "I can defend myself!"

The two glanced away in shame.

Erza sighed, it was going to be a long day.

---------------------

And just as luck would have it, the rest of her classes also included Jellal and Simon. This resulted in a silent glaring contest every period between the two. This tightened up the mood of the classroom and everyone was on edge.

Luckily, she did not have to sit beside either of them... until the last block. She was required to sit beside Simon.

As soon as she entered the class for History, the final block of the day, she instantly knew something was wrong. Next to where she was supposed to be seated sat Jellal. He was smiling devilishly at her as she walked closer towards him.

"Why are you sitting there?"

"You don't want me to sit here?"

"No-I mean, yes. W-why would I want you to sit there," she nervously laughed.

"Are you starting to like me?" he teased.

"Of course not!" Erza lied, beginning  to blush profusely. "A-anyways, that's not your seat."

"Not anymore," Jellal smirked.

"What?"

"Principle Makarov decided that I should sit beside you. Check the seating charts in the front."

Sure enough, when Erza checked, Jellal was supposed to be seated next to her.

She groaned in frustration, but deep inside, she felt a little happy.

Was she starting to fall for him?
