"I love you."

The words came tumbling out of her mouth, and with one final burst of crashing waves, his breaths slowed to a steady rythm. The waves lessened and slowly moved to a stop.

It was just Erza, Jellal, and the eerily still lake water.

"W-What happened?" Jellal gasped, turning around to face Erza.

"I'm... not sure either," Erza sighed. "You just... lost control of yourself?"

"Did I hurt you? Oh mavis, please tell me I didn't hurt you," he panicked.

Erza avoided his eyes and gripped onto her bleeding arm. A rock must have cut her while she fought her way through the waves. She tried her best to hide the blood soaking through her white blouse. "I-I'm fine," she smiled.

Jellal immediately caught on. "Erza, arm."

"W-what?"

"Show me your arm, Erza."

Erza reluctantly showed him her arm. "I doesn't hurt at all though," she moved her arm around and bit back her groans of pain. "See?"

Jellal shook his head and began rolling up her sleeve, revealing a deep cut stretching up to her shoulder. He gripped onto her hand and closed his eyes in concentration. Suddenly, a golden light began to surround her arm, and Erza's eyes widened in fascination and surprise. After a few seconds her wound had completely disappeared.

"H-how?" She gasped in shock.

"It's one of my powers," he grinned. However, it was immediately replaced with a frown. "I-I'm really sorry. It's all my fault-"

Erza silenced his mouth with hers. It was a quick kiss, but it left Jellal stunned in place.

"I wouldn't have come here if I knew you wouldn't need my help. It was my decision to be here, not yours," she smiled.

"How did you even know where to find me-"

"That would be thanks to me," a voice interrupted.

Siegrain stood just a few feet away from them, slowly wading towards the pair.

"Oh, Siegrain," Jellal hissed.

"Listen, Jellal," Siegrain folded his arms. "I'm sorry for kissing your girlfriend, but I did it for you."

"You did it for me?" Jellal growled. "How does that help me in the slightest?"

"I thought that it would-"

"Do what? Make me happy?"

"No, just listen, Jellal. I-"

"Siegrain, I don't want to hear anymore of your excus-"

"JUST LISTEN TO ME FOR ONC-"

"SHUT UP! I'M NOT CHANGING MY MIND-"

"BOYS!" Erza yelled, shutting them both up. "Would one of you at least explain what is happening?"

Jellal glared at Siegrain and sighed.

"Erza, I'm a unicorn."
