Siegrain pressed his lips firmly against Erza's, earning a wide-eyed stare. Struggling under the small amount of space she had to move around in, she could not push him away.

As her last resort, she bit down onto his lip. He gasped and took a step back. A little blood drizzled down from his mouth and his eyes widened.

"Wh-why did you do that?" Erza gasped.

"Let's just say it's a goodbye gift," Siegrain shrugged.

"What do you even mean?"

"You'll see," he grinned.

---------------------

When Erza woke up the next morning, everything rusheds back to her as a massive headache. After her kiss with Siegrain, the girls had bombarded her with questions.

"What happened?"

"Did he ask you out?"

"What did he want to talk about?"

Erza, of course, ignored the questions and locked herself into her room. She knew that the girls would persist today as well, but she crossed her fingers anyway in hopes that they had forgotten all about it. However, as soon as Erza left the dorm for her first class, she realized there was already a huge commotion going on outside.

"What happened here?" Erza asked one of the officers on the scene.

"See for yourself," he gestured towards the woods. "We have to investigate if this is a serious matter that may affect the health of the students."

When Erza looked where he was gesturing to, she realized he wasn't pointing to a specific place, but was referring to the whole forest. The plants and trees were withering, and it wasn't even fall yet!

"Maybe the plants are sad," one man commented. A slap was heard right after.

"YOU IDIOT! We're scientists, not plant phsyicologists!"

Erza chuckled to herself, and began heading to her first class. Strangely enough, she secretly wished to see Jellal instead of Siegrain.

And so, her day at school began...

---------------------

First block: No sign of Siegrain or Jellal. Erza shrugged it off, maybe he would come next block.

Second block: She furrowed her eyebrows, maybe he was moved to seperate classes?

Lunch: While she ate with her friends, Erza subconciouslyy looked for him in the crowd. Where was he?-no, where were they?

Third block: Erza was now on edge. Was Jellal not coming? Had she done something wrong? Did it have to do with the 'goodbye kiss' Siegrain had talked about?

Fourth block: As soon as class started, Siegrain burst in and frantically grabbed Erza's wrist. He began leading her outside.

"Let go of me!" Erza hissed.

"No," Siegrain huffed, continuing to tead through the school hallway.

"At least explain to me where we are going!"

"Listen," Siegrain slowed to a halt, planting his hands on Erza's shoulders. "I'm sorry for kissing you yesterday. I did it in hopes that Jellal would give up on you. But..."

"But what?"

"He got a bit heated up instead, and now I need your help to fix this. Will you... help me?"

"How can I know I can trust you?" Erza glared, crossing her arms. Siegrain sighed angrily.

"Look, Erza," Siegrain growled. "You either trust me or you don't. We don't have much time!"

"Fine. I'll trust you," she decided. "Now, where is he?"

---------------------

When Siegrain finally stopped, they were near a large lake. In the center of it was Jellal. He stood in the water, his hair dripping wet and his clothes soaking. Ripples were flowing out from his body although he stayed perfectly still, and those ripples formed into waves, crashing into the rocky shore.

"Oh no," Siegrain gasped. "You have to make him snap out of it before he transforms!"

"Transforms? What do you mea-"

Siegrain pushed Erza into the lake. "Right now, you're the only one who can stop him! Hurry!"

Erza cursed under her breath and fought her way through the waves towards Jellal. The closer she got to him, the calmer the water got, but it was still deep. When she was about waist deep in the water, she was finally an arm's length away from him.

Immediately, she could sense strong negative energy flowing out of his body.

"J-Jellal?" Erza asked, reaching for his shoulder.

"Erza?" Jellal questions, but his voice is different. It sounds like three different people are speaking at the same time, disorienting his voice. Erza steps back in shock.

"You broke my heart," he started. "You kissed Siegrain. YOU LET HIM KISS YOU!"

A giant ripple emerged from his body, projecting outwards, and a huge wave crashed against the shore.

"Jellal! No! Your brother only wanted to help you! I don't know what happened to you two in the past, but I know for sure he did it for you!"

"NO! HE DID IT FOR HIMSELF! DO YOU BELIEVE HIM NOW? DO YOU TREASURE HIM OVER ME?"

"Listen, Jellal!"

A glow began to emit from his body, and Erza could hear Siegrain yelling at her from the shore.

"GET AWAY FROM HIM! IT'S TOO LATE, HE'S GOING TO TRANSFORM!"

Erza, being the stubborn girl she is, replied, "NO! I'M NOT GIVING UP ON JELLAL!"

Siegrain growled in frustration. How much of an idiot was that girl? Did she not know the full extent of Jellal's powers?

"JELLAL! LISTEN TO ME!" Erza screamed over the crashing of the waves.

"I DON'T TRUST YOU, MERE HUMAN! I AM NOT FOOLED BY YOUR ATTEMPTS AT TRICKING ME!"

Jellal's body began to glow brighter. With her last strand of clinging hope, Erza took a deep breath of preperation before hugging Jellal from behind.

"I love you."
