It was a bright sunny day in a little town in Ireland. Pricilla and her family lived on a farm, She owned sheep and goats. They also made goat cheese. So they were pretty well off. Her Family's farm had rich soil, this called the attention of new developers.
There were new people in town. That was posing as land developers. They had special equipment that can detect oil, coal, and copper ten to fifty feet under. Now they were in Ireland. They were scanning differents part of lands, when they came across Pricilla's family farm, "Look over here. The detector is going crazy. Rick, I think we found the biggest main ever, it looks like copper." said Max
Then Rick walked over and glance at the machine. Hey, buddy, I think you're right. We're rich." said Max "Not yet, I have to obtain the property first. Go to city records and find out who owns this property. As soon as you get the info, make sure you call me and give me the names I need." said Rick "I will do, I'll go now. Meanwhile, you can put the equipment back into the van. I'll call you as soon as I have any news.
Rick put all the equipment back into the van, then headed to the hotel they were staying. "All this work, I should have made him help me first."Rick mutter as he put all the stuff away.
Meanwhile, at the farm, Pricilla was getting ready for school, which was about an hour away.
Her mom had left her some breakfast on the table. Her parents were both out working on the farm. Her father feeding the animals and her mother making cheese. Pricilla ate her breakfast then headed to the barn to say goodbye to her mother and father. After that, she headed to school. She had a beautiful white horse that she rode to school every day. At the school, there was a stable where all the students that come from far away, may park their horses.
Pricilla finally reached school. Her classes went as usual. But to her, the day was dragging, and the hours were going by slow.
Now Max went to the records department and picked up the information they needed. All the copper the machine detected was about to make them the richest men in the whole world, so they thought. Max quickly call Rick and let him know the names of the owners. Rick decided to give them a visit. So he hopped into his car, then up the hill, he went to Pricilla's family farm. When he arrived, he found Mrs. Penny making butter in the front of the barn. Mr. Penny had stepped out to town to drop off a couple of orders of cheese.
"Excuse me Madam." said Rick "Hello, young man, what can I get you today?" asked Mrs.Penny as she stops what she was doing. "Well my name is Rick Sanchez, My partner and I are buying different lands to build some condos. We were looking at your property. We are interested in obtaining your farm. How much are you willing to sell it for?"Rick asked "Sorry young man, all I can sell to you is cheese, butter, egg and fruits, and vegetables. Our land is not for sale." said Mrs. Penny
"Well, my partners will be disappointed to hear this. But if you happen to change your mind. We pay top dollar. This is my number at the hotel we"re staying. Give me a call if you change your main." said Rick as he got into his car "Look, young man, this farm been in our family for over fifty years, there's no way we are selling." she said as Rick started to drive away. When he was out of sight, she took the piece of paper he gave her and throw to the wind. "These young people think they can get whatever they want. They better set their eyes elsewhere," she said to herself
