I quickly ran, slashing at the phantoms.
Considering I had never fought before, I was quite good. I guess I've learned a bit from watching Yato. Phantoms came raging at Yato. At the time Yukine was in regalia form, so I put him down and did what no one would believe I'd ever do.
I ran in front of Yato.
I put my life on the line.
The phantom stopped.
"You can take my name, my life, but I will not let you kill my master!" I screamed. "No! Don't--" Yato told me, getting cut off.
"It's alright. You'll still have Yukine."
And those were my last words.
The phantom pierced through my skin.
My body fell to the ground.
All of them, Hiyori, Yato, Yukine, were all sure I was dead.
Once Yukine was in human form again, he rested his head down on my stomach. He sang a short song, quietly.
"She was my sunshine," He sang. A few sobs escaped his mouth.
"My only sunshine. She made me happy, when sky's were grey. She always knew well, how much I loved her. And my sunshine has gone away." He finished the song. He cried, tears streaming down his face. Hiyori stayed with Yato, comforting him. "Her name... It's not gone...[regalia name]!" Suddenly a spark of light emerged from my body. The hole in my body began to close up. Yukine felt a hand on his head. "There, There." A voice whispered. He put his head up. "[Na...me]?" He said. "She's a blessed vessel..." Yato murmured. Yukine looked up. I gave him a weak smile. "Do you feel any different?" Yato asked. "No." I answered.
Yukine crawled over to me, hugging me. "Oh my gosh...I thought you were dead!" He told me. "But I am." I said with a smirk. "I mean as in regalia death." Yuki said. He just sort laid there for a bit. He was relieved that I wasn't gone.
