We found a spot on the grass, and sat down. I watched the fireworks, and boy, they were pretty. Whoever arranged them must be really good at it. I watched Yuki's eyes shine in the light of the moon, and they looked quite pretty at night. Yukine looked at me, to see if I was watching, then gave a quick kiss on the cheek. "Um...why?.." Was all I managed to get out. "Because I love you, [name]." He told me. Now, I knew this, but it still surprised me. I kissed him on the cheek too. "What?" He asked. "I'm treating you how you treated me." I replied, grinning. After the fireworks were over, we went back to the shrine. On the way back to the shrine, I saw a girl. She had many markings on her body. Yukine must've noticed, because he grabbed me and pulled me behind him. He made a borderline. "DON'T YOU DARE TOUCH HER!" He screamed. "Yukine calm do--" I was cut off. "No! I will not calm down!" He told me. Yato came running. He called Yukine's regalia name. He had to protect two people, plus himself...
It was a dumb idea, but I tried it anyway. "Yato, give me a katana!" I yelled. "Are you insane?!" I replied. "JUST GIVE ME ONE!" I screamed. I grabbed a katana, ready to fight. I slid off my shoes, since they'd be impossible to fight in. My hair came undone, leaving me in my yukata, my hair flowing in the wind. Phantoms suddenly surrounded us.
