"...Excuse me?" I say, bitterly. "Have you ever wondered why you didn't remember anything? Specifically, dying?" I feel like air is stuck in my throat and I can't breath. "I-I'm sorry, but I have to go." I can hear Yukine yelling at Yato as I leave.
"Look what you did! You made her upset!" The blonde screamed.
"What was I supposed to do? She was gonna find out anyways!"
"Well you could've been a little less straightforward!"
"Shut up!"
"No, you shut up!"
"I'm done dealing with your bullshit."
Yukine stomps away.

I'm sitting on the deck outside the shrine. My head sits in my palms. "Why is life so complicated?" I mutter under my breath. "Not sure. I haven't been here too long." I squeal a little a look around to see to who it is, only to notice a pair of amber eyes. "You know, you shouldn't scare me like that." I grumble. He takes a seat beside me. "I take it you're feeling confused." I scoff at him. "You know, it's okay to feel upset. If it makes you feel better,8 had to go through this whole ritual thing because I was so jealous of the living." I gasp, and look at him.
"Really? Wow. Didn't know that was a thing."
"Yep. Can you do me a favour?"
"What is it?"
"Please don't ever let your emotions control you."
"I'll try...anyways, it's getting a bit late, so I'm going to bed. See you in the morning, Yukine."

"Goodnight, Name~!" Kofuku says before turning off the lights. "Night," I bring the blanket on top of me, and lay down on the futon.
"Guess I'm a regalia now," I think to myself. "I'm literally owned by God. Wow." I roll over in attempt to get comfortable.

The lights flicker on, and the door creeks open. "Shh! Don't wake her up!" I hear Yato whisper. "Huh? What is it?" I sit up. "Well...we were turning on the lights, because Yukine is afraid of the-" A hand is shoved over Yato's mouth, muffling his words. "Lemme guess, the dark?" Actually, right about now, Yukine's face is so red that we wouldn't need light, only his cheeks...and no, not his behind. "U-Um..." The blonde mumbles. "It's okay, I don't mind. Having fears is normal." He removes his hand from Yato's mouth. He chooses the futon beside me, and lays down quietly. "Your face is still red." I say. "You can't even see my face, how do you know that?" I laugh. "Just a hunch." The boy rolls over. "You know, you should stop embarrassing me." I poke his nose, "But it's fun~" Rose dust brushes on his cheeks. "Goodnight, Yukine."

[Next day, Afternoon]

I find myself screaming at the top of lungs. "Yato, what is that?!" He calls my regalia name. My regalia form is white lion, and I'm still getting the hang of running on four legs. "Come on, we've got business to take care of, kiddos." Yukine is in regalia form too. From what I see, he's dual katanas. He's in the white room with me. He holds my hand. "This will be your first time fighting phantoms. It's awfully big, but I've got you, okay?" I glance at him for a moment. "A-Alright." I begin to move forward.
"You see that thing, right, Name? That a phantom, a being made from human emotion." Yato tells me.
"Human emotion?!"
"Yeah, and you're gonna help me kill it,"
"Excuse me?"
"Yep. You're my regalia and I'm your master, you'll get used to it."
"O-Okay...what do I do now?"
"Take me to the phantom."
I walk forward on my paws, and take Yato near the creature.
"Let Yukine and I do the rest." I stop in my tracks, thankful that I don't have to touch the creepy thing. "If anything happens to Yato, you save him, okay? This'll be confusing but you'll get used to it." Yato and Yukine are fighting the phantom, and they're doing pretty well. Yato's good at this for an old dude. "Shit!" Yato comes flying back, because the phantom swatted out of the way. I manage to catch him on my back. "Sweet! You caught me! You're not half-bad, [Name]!" He says. "Thanks for catching us," Yukine tells me. "No problem." Yato gets up again. "Can you take me to its head?" He asks. "You mean...crawl on it or something?"
"No, jump."
"Uh...I'll try,"
I leap forward, hoping to land on something.
"Good enough."
Turns out I landed on it neck rather than it head. As Yato said, good enough. Yato jumps off me and slashes at the phantom, finally killing it. "Revert, [Name], Yukine." Suddenly I'm back to human form. I notice the violet splotches on Yato's arm. I reach over to touch it, "Are you oka-" He interrupts me by swatting my hand away. "You'll get infected too." He sighs.
"Yukine, why don't you teach [Name] how to make a borderline while I'm washing this blight?"
"O-Okay,"
Yato walks off, leaving Yukine and I alone.

"So...you hold your hand like this," He folds down two fingers. "Then you war your finger in a line." I do what he told me, and somehow there's a colourful wall in front of me. "Wow...you must really hate phantom to make a borderline this well," Yukine says while laughing. "Well yeah, they're raging creatures of human emotion, and they're also kinda gross." Just at that moment, Yato showed up. "Wow, this looks good!" He says. "You ready to go back to the shrine?" Yukine and I nod, walking back to the shrine with Yato.
